  • Looks great and strong!
Really cleaned up my ski storage. Easy to mount, strong and all of my skis and gear are in one spot!

  • Rugged beyond the price point
Great rack for skis and gear! It is currently hiding six sets of skis and seems like it could take 6 more. As long as it is drilled securly into studs is should hold up to plenty of abuse. Great value for money!

  • it works, but has a couple of shortcomings
Was short mounting screws and drywall anchors, having about half what was needed. Why be cheap on little plastic anchors and screws - is that a corner that really needs to be cut Mr. Merchant? Secondly, you need to band Nordic skis at the bottom with rubber bands to keep them from just swinging apart. Downhill skis are fine because the brakes hold them together. Oh, and while they claim to hold two pairs of skis per slot, it's only one if it's alpine. I suspected that so ordered two kits initially and I was right. So it doesn't hold "10 pairs of skis" unless they are all Nordic. ... show more

  • Need design work
Looks to be well made. Problem is design!! When you place skiis in the rack, they will slide down and the tails will separate. The design needs a second clip to keep the ski tails together and keep the skies from sliding out of the rack. I had to velcro the tails together to keep the skiis together in the rack. Not what I expected. ... show more

  • Works as intended
This rack works as shown in the posting photos. The portion that holds skis is deep enough to hold two pair in most cases (unless the skis are super wide). The additional bars for hanging your poles are a very nice addition. This should be an easy installation for most who are comfortable with a drill. I recommend it. ... show more

  • Good Quality, but Poor Design
The ski rack comes in two pieces. Putting more than two hooks on a mount will not work as the bindings will be overlapping. Also, I wouldn't put more than one downhill ski in a slot. The mount itself is designed poorly. Standard studs are 16" on center, but the mount itself is 16 inches, so the actual holes that hold in the mount are less than 16 inches. I mounted it on a 6" wide board before mounting the board to the studs. As mentioned in another review, there are not enough screws in the included package so I just used my own. Once installed, it works well and the quality is good. ... show more

  • Great set of sturdy ski racks
We replaced a rack that was similar to this one in our ski closet since the one that we had would only handle one ski in each slot and would not handle snowboards very well. This ski rack has 11inch hooks slots that allow you to store two sets if skis in tandem (if they are not wide powder skis). Even if you slide the downhill skis together so that their brakes lock, it still seems that some of the skis will come apart on the rack like and upside down "V", so I recommend using some strap on the bottom of the skis to hold them together if you have that problem. The rack is adjustable so you can space the ski holders where you like. It also has some nice protective rubberized coatings so that you do not damage the top of your skis. We recommend this rack for as it is well built and can handle up to 10 sets of "normal" width skis. ... show more

  • Awesome - easy install and sturdy
We ordered this for our ski closet at our place in Colorado, and love it. I did read other reviews before installing it, and based on that I mounted it higher up on the wall. The ski holders don't pinch the skis, rather the skis sit in the mounts and the curved ski tips hold the skis in place. Mounting it higher keeps the skis off the ground in the closet. We only have 3 pairs of skis/poles but plan to expand our collection with cross country skis and a few spare pairs of downhill skis for family/friends that visit us. The rack allegedly will hold 10 pair - I didn't think to test it before we left Colorado to head back home but based on the pictures I took I think I can double up the skis on each bracket. Overall, the install was easy - I did have to space mine out based on how the studs are spaced in the closet but I'm not worried about winning any Ski Closet Beauty Contest, I just need a ski rack that does it's job. The ski holding brackets are strong so I have no concerns about them breaking or bending. ... show more
