This little chopper has made food prep so much easier. It's ability to dice onions alone makes it worth it. But it also works on bell peppers, celery, cabbage, apples, and zucchini. It works on carrots too but only a couple of small pieces at a time and it takes a little more oomph. It works on the bulb of green onions but not the soft green tops. It does not work on green beans, and I didn't try it on broccoli because I think it would be a pain to clean. All of the other vegetables are easy to clean out of it. It comes with a brush to scrape the blades and a fork thing to clean the top. The top was a pain to scrape, but I really only need to do it once when I'm all finished. The chopper was smaller than I expected, but that actually works in my tiny kitchen. I just need to cut veggies into smaller pieces, but I still think it cut down veggie prep time by half. It's also just fun to use. I was almost sad the first time I used it because I ran out of veggies to chop. This food chopper does an excellent job at cutting vegetables. It's sturdy, made of quality materials, and comes with a assortment of tools. I have been using this chopper to cut a variety of vegetables and have not been disappointed so far. It's best to chop firm vegetables, e.g., onions, zucchini, etc. Soft vegetables like ripe tomatoes, may not cut very well. Another drawback is that the blades are difficult to clean -- food can get stuck between the blades. I've attached 2 photos showing what remains after rinsing the blades when an onion and tomato were cut. Also, if you're not careful, you may cut your fingers trying to clean the crevices. The chopper in fact, cautions users to "never touch blades with your fingers." Getting the blades completely clean for example, when you want to store the cutter for a long time, may be painstakingly slow. Finally, much downward pressure may be needed to cut firm vegetables -- this may be an issue for those with arthritis, pain in their limbs, or who are physically weak. This chopper is excellent in that it is very sharp, easy to use, works well. The problem is in the cleaning. The blades like to hang on to little pieces of zucchini (the spiralizer) and onion (dicer) even after being rinsed thoroughly and run through the dishwasher - had to do a little extra cleaning - and managed to cut my finger in a massive way. It was my fault, I didn't look closely at which side of the dicer I was about to touch. Please don't be me. I understand why this is such a popular wedding registry item. It's amazing. The media could not be loaded. A game changer for meal prep. The bottom of the unit has rubber to keep it in place and is very sturdy. As you can see from the video you need to put a fair amount of pressure to cut the items. Once food is cut - you can make it a family affair and have your kids help out. The product comes with a few different blades and is very easy to clean. Most of the blades can be stored inside the unit. They give you a cleaning brush and tools to keep your finger safe. It makes chopping tomatoes onions and jalapenos quick and easy for making Pico de Gallo. There is a little issue with good getting stuck in the machine but they provide a toothbrush and picks to clean it. I wash the parts in the dishwasher top rack. No problems so far.

    • Broke the first time.

I had such high hopes for this. I chop food almost daily for meals and when I meal prep. Having a chopper makes the job 100% easier. For most of what I meal prep, I prefer the fine dicer. And mine broke the very first time I used it dicing an onion and bell peppers. It proved to be difficult to close, requiring a lot of force, no matter where I positioned the onion. Then I moved on to the bell peppers. Which was a nightmare. No matter how small the piece was, it took almost slamming it to get it to close completely. When I was done and removing the dicer to clean it, I noticed one of the blades near the top on the underside was just hanging on. And then I looked at my veggies, and saw black specks from the plastic where the blade broke. So much for the small dicer. Now, the large dicer was much easier to use, but the size of the food pieces are too big for what I want, and I need to chop them smaller. Guess it is time to do more research and find another dicer. ... show more
