Once you figure out your technique to get this cover back on you will love it. Two people makes it much easier but I have found a way by myself that doesn't get me too frustrated. I use my Japanese mattress as a mattress topper but also roll it up and pack it for when I go camping. The zip up cover makes that so much easier! ... show more

What a hilariously small box the mattress comes in. I thought it was a mistake. Once you open the vacuum bag, the mattress is folded in four. Within seconds it starts to expand into a fluffy comfy mattress. Hard to believe. Even though the legit Shikibutons from Japan go for $600-$1000, this FULI mattress is a great entry into the world of Japanese floor sleeping. Side note. UPDATE: My white sheet got discolored after over a year of usage, and when ordering a replacement, I noticed it's way larger than it used to be. Returned thinking it was irregular and informed FULI customer service. Months later, decided to re-order assuming it was addressed by now, but no, still same oversized issue. This cover is LAUGHABLY larger than it should be. Customer service took my complain seriously and I really do admire and appreciate that. But I will be removing my 5-star review. Their reply is that they started making them larger than normal because customers were complaining of shrinkage. First of all, that is user error. It says DO NOT put in dryer. This is a terrible resolve. And I was so desperate to get mine to fit, that I put mine in the dryer and it's still comically ill-fitting. This make my entire setup spoiled: the mat & the mattress aesthetic is ruined because of this. Love this company, but no chance can I keep my 5-star review up. This is so disappointing. They did say they are taking my complaint seriously and are re-discussing with management and even the president iirc. FIX IT. ____ Looks incredible. And the best sleep I ever had. I listened to other reviewers and I got the twin size futon but ordered the twin XL cover. Iā€™m glad I did because when I washed and dried it- it did get smaller but still fits a nice snug over the futon. Sooo easy to wash and dry. I did normal wash with a light 5 below brand comforter, baby blue Walmart pillow case, white futon cover and white fitted sheet to put over the cover (that one is incredibly soft). Throw all of them in a front loader washer on normal wash with some Lysol sanitizer detergent, fabric softener and just a dash of regular liquid ALL free and clear. Everything came out clean and no bleeding of colors. Tossed in the dryer on normal with some dryer balls- came out dry and ready to use. I will note that it does wrinkle and there are alot of wrinkles when used in the dryer but that is not a big deal breaker for me since I slip a fitted sheet over it. Also I keep it on futon and it folds with the futon without issues. ... show more

Perhaps the price should have tipped me off that this was going to be closer to a bedsheet than a futon cover. I was expecting more in terms of weight and quality. I was also extremely disappointed with the washing instructions. You are instructed to wash it in a net bag (which I did not have on hand) to prevent pulling and discoloration. Then you are told NOT to tumble dry or use a machine dryer. You have to hang it to dry, but not expose it to the sun for extended periods. If a cotton cover can't survive a regular machine wash and dry, I don't have much faith it will stand up to people lounging on it for any period of time, even though we have a throw blanket that will be covering it. My last futon cover, which admittedly required dry cleaning, lasted for 25 years. It was zippered and heavy-weight. I'm keeping this cover for now, until I can find a replacement. But if you want something sturdy that's more than the weight of a bedsheet, I would invest in something else. ... show more
