I ordered the XL TWIN size cover to go over my Futon of the same size from the same compay. The item arrived promptly and in excellent condition, NO creepy smells! I am a quilter so I adore good quality cotton fabric: this is made IN JAPAN of thick excellent quality breathable cotton. The very discreet zipper is sturdy and installed with care and skill. VERY Happy with this cover ~ super easy to put on over the futon (I have the futon by this same company) or to remove. Launders just fine ~ it is a bit oversized to account for the usual amount of cotton shrinkage, I prefer to line/hang dry rather than use the dryer. No pilling. The price is excellent ~ I could not buy this many yards of fabric for $50 (and that does not even take into account labor or the cost of the zipper!). Good VALUE. If you are using your Futon daily, you might consider buying two if you can, so you can easily swap then out on wash day. The color is a nice soothing camel color. I bought this to go with my Fuli futon mattress. Although it takes some work, the mattress fits well into it. The quality is good and it feels great sleeping on it. I just felt this cover is overpriced.

I swore to my partner that this was so difficult to get on because that's just the price you pay for the awesomeness of the skibuton. Apparently I was mistaken, it simply is way too small. The good news? It is soft. And we together successfully broke my partners spirits and expectations for putting a cover on our shikibuton. When we get one that fits? The instructions clearly say to line dry it, but I washed on warm and tumbled dry on medium and the queen-sized shikibuton also made by Ful stilli fits great inside. It was somewhat snug initially, curling the edges of the shikibuton immediately after washing but after sleeping on it there is no issue and the entire set lays flat. (I also have a conventional queen sized mattress protector over the shikibuton, so an extra layer and and the sheet still fits over everything neatly.) I’ll experiment with subsequent washes/drying to see if the sheet shrinks any further. The sheet itself is a nice crisp cotton and the full encasing of the shiki makes it so convenient to fold the entire set after use. Considering that typical queen sized decent sheet sets are usually more than $100, this is a fairly good price for the quality of 100% cotton and the convenient design. ... show more

I’m pretty disappointed in this product. The texture is not very soft, which wasn’t a big deal but then the zipper broke and that’s a big deal because it’s now unusable. Unless you want something temporary, skip this product.
