This little blender was great up until the glass cracked. It is NOT tempered. I had it in the sink to be washed, however I made noodles and poured the hot water in the sink which was next to glass and it cracked. Shame for not being tempered! This is why people see breaks while blending! This wasn’t even a cold to hot temperature change! I tried finding another Jar with a handle by Ball jars or mason, but the threading will not work . This little blender is as functional as it is adorable. It's so retro. I got the ivory which literally looks like an old Frigidaire. It's great for a single shake or smoothie so there's no big blender to have to clean and takes up so much less space on the counter. There's a little light that comes on when the glass jar (much nicer than plastic) is properly positioned and that is so cute as is the little lever that turns it on. It does a great job blending and isn't as noisy as a regular blender. I will be buying more for gifts. Love it!!! ... show more

Don't give credit to the lower reviews: this blender is amazing! Not only does it look amazing and will be a unique addition to your kitchen's style, it is also a discreet and powerful little thing. You can plug in your mason jars (and the free bottle is also great). I'll also answer my own question: it can grind coffee! That was my criteria for buying. I LOVED this blender and it was super cute!!! But within a week I ended up breaking the glass jar, so I reached out to amazon to inquire about purchasing a new one and they directed me to the manufacturer. I emailed them directly and never got a response. Regular mason jars don’t fit.

Pros: A compact and slim blender with a surprisingly powerful ability to make smoothies and milkshakes! I have a small kitchen and I make smoothies a lot. It was important to me to have something small that actually works. This blender is adorable and I have received several compliments. I love how it comes with a mason jar straw and lid in addition to the tall plastic blending container. Cons: they do not make blenders like they used to. This unit is entirely plastic. The steel handle? Plastic. It seems flimsy and I have been careful when I use it to not use too much force. I believe if you are careful with this blender, treat it with a tender touch it should last a long time. It is too pretty on the countertop to get rid of! ... show more

Blender is an ideal size for one generous serving...and easy to use. I usually like a clear counter top...but it's retro look is a perfect fit for my kitchen. Gave it 4 stars because there doesn't seem to be an option to replace the glass mixing jar. That is a draw-back (especially if teens are using the appliance) as the jars would not hold up to a "drop"! If the glass (Mason jar- like ) mixing vessel breaks...the blender is doomed! (Note: Standard Mason jars do not work with this blender...l tried). Please make additional jars available for purchase...it would make your product perfect! ... show more

It's a pretty addition to my kitchen. I like the mason jar so much compared to plastic. To make a smoothie, I put the shaving ice from my shaving ice machine after I blend the whole thing, so I don't put ice cube in the glass jar . The blending function's problem exists in the same kind of blending machines too. You have to add enough liquid to make it move all around. For the price, I'm still very happy. I'm almost embarrassed to say I bought this blender in part because it's so cute and retro, but it also has worked quite well so far. I have only used it to blend protein powder drinks to this point, and it is doing a nice job and the shakes come out very creamy and, well, blended. You do have to have your hands on it to pull the lever forward, so you can't walk away and do other things while blending, but that's not a drawback for my purposes.
