This freezer died in two years. I tried to replace the relay in hopes that it wasn't the compressor, but it was the compressor. It's a paperweight now. My parents have had the same freezer since I was a kid, and I am over 40 now. I hate everything.

    • Hundreds of dollars of food spoiled!
I bought this freezer in March of last year - so 10 months ago. I made meals and froze them, stocked up on meat, fish and seafood. Everything was great til today. Hundreds of dollars worth of food thawed when the freezer stopped working. There was not a power outage. It was a malfunction. My advice-look further than FRIGIDAIRE for a freezer. UPDATE: I have been trying to get a refund on my failed freezer for months. Customer service at Curtis International kept delaying sending me a refund. It is now mid-April. They said they sent a check on March 22. Really - don't purchase this freezer or any product from Curtis International (sold as Frigidaire). They truly are one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Even though I have contacted AMAZON about my situation - even though AMAZON knows Curtis does not stand behind their products, AMAZON continues to sell these freezers. AMAZON does not help get a refund even though they know it is owed. Very disappointed with Curtis and with AMAZON. ... show more

We needed a little more freezer space. We had a problem with where it would fit. When we found this one with the door opening in the front we knew our problem was solved. We are very happy with this purchase. I guess I should mention it also works great.

    • This freezer is perfect for a second freezer when you have a small kitchen!
I like how it keeps the food perfectly frozen. The paint job leaves a lot to be desired (missing paint on several places.)

Freezer looks nice but if course came with a dent in the back bottom left area. What I wld like to know is,, Why does this not work when using an extention cord?? Not a cheap cord either, an expensive one. The cord for the freezer is mot very long!!
