  • The results don’t lie!.... So far, so good.
The media could not be loaded. This is my 1st ever outdoor cannabis grow and I chose to use a greenhouse. Being Central Cali, it gets over 110 degrees on the hottest days and is often over 100 for weeks straight at a time. Using the Fox Farm trio AND the Dirty Dozen plus all the other available FF products, my plants look healthy, strong and happy. They’ve responded to the scorching heat w no issues and have showed zero signs of stress. The Big Bloom & Grow Big supplied the plants w the necessary nutrients to keep them not only stable but thriving in such hot weather. The only issue I’ve had w regards to them was a quickly caught and resolved case of nitrogen toxicity due to overfeeding. Better to underfeed than overfeed. But this was my fault and not FF although they should make using less product more pronounced of a cautionary warning. This is where FF Sledgehammer comes in handy!) It’s best to only use the trio and all FF nutes at 1/2 strength and then work your way up IF the plant responds well. Once I did this, I didn’t have any issues w toxicity. Before I started using other FF products like the microbes, molasses, etc., I was able to get a good idea of how well the BB & GB worked together. The growth was vigorous and my plants hit 6 1/2 feet in early July. It was so fast & I wasn’t prepared for such tall plants so soon that my only choice was to lollipop and LST. Tying them down resulted in perfect canopies (See pics. 5x5 ft, 10 inch canopy and that’s just 1 plant you’re seeing in front) of balanced tops everywhere that are evenly receiving the plants auxins. I’ve been using the FF grow schedule at 1/2 strength since the plants were 3-4 wks. Unfortunately I have no idea what strain I’m growing which doesn’t help me w regard to its habits, pros, cons, likes, dislikes, etc. But even without this important information, giving the plants ‘the trio’ has fulfilled their basic fertilization needs. It’s even saved & reinvigorated 1 plant that was affected by unintended light schedule changes before transplanting and that I was certain I would get no yield. I can rest assured that no matter what random strain I’m growing, the FF trio of Big Bloom, Grow Big & Tigers Bloom will help your plants develop a good, strong root system, lush growth and beautiful flowers. My ladies are exactly 4 weeks into flowering and I’ve been using many other products, mostly by FF, so I cannot attest to Tiger Blooms effects alone. But the buds are filling out quite nicely, putting on weight, are starting to smell and I’m pretty sure I’ll have gorgeous late finishers w 11-12 wk flowering times. For a newbie grower, FF has made it very easy to grow cannabis. Although using in conjunction w their other great products is most likely best for the healthiest of plants, Big Bloom, Grow Big & Tigers Bloom are great stand alone products for your garden. Highly recommend!! *I will update after harvest. Update 8/2021: Last years harvest was amazing. I had no issues w FF and am currently using their products again this year. I do highly recommend once again to half whatever the recommended dosage is to avoid over feeding or toxicity. ... show more

  • Fox Farm plant foods provide all the nutrients needed for my indoor garden.
I have been using Fox Farm Grow Big for my indoor garden plants for about a year, and decided to buy this trio to try Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom. I use Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom only for my tomatoes since the veggies and herbs shouldn't flower. The tomatoes I grow indoors are a miniature bush variety, and since using Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom for them, the plants often have so many large tomatoes the weight of the tomatoes causes the plants to topple over. So, I need to stake them to prevent them from leaning. Although the tomato plants seem to like both plant foods, I have found that the Big Bloom settles to the bottom of the watering can if not used all at one time. After using Big Bloom, the watering can needs to be rinsed to prevent anything left in it from caking on the bottom. Since my plants are grown indoors, it's not possible to space them as you would to grow them outdoors. Those grown in tubs, similar to those used in restaurants for busing, are very crowded and the tubs are filled with roots as they grow. These plants are entirely dependent on the nutrients I supply them to stay healthy and continue growing. The plants I grow include Swiss chard, kale, komatsuna, bok choy, senposai, collards, and a few Chinese greens that can't be found in stores. In addition, I grow a few varieties of basil plus thyme, rosemary, sage, chives, cilantro, and oregano. The greens and tomatoes are used for salads as well as cooked for use as vegetables for meals. I am also growing a couple of avocado trees just for fun. You can see from the provided pictures how healthy my plants are. Without Fox Farm nutrients, I'm sure these plants wouldn't grow as well in the crowded conditions they are growing in. Since my plants require watering at different intervals depending on their stage of growth, I use nutrients for every watering at a rate of 10 cc's per gallon for each watering. This equates to about 2.5 tsp/gallon. So far, this has been working well and the plants are thriving. Update 07/26/20: This set is great for someone that has only a couple of plant, both vegetative and flowering or fruiting. At this point, I have so many plants, I buy the gallon sizes of Big Grow for vegetative plants and Tiger Bloom for fruiting plants. Buying the gallon size in these is much more economical. I am now growing full sized beefsteak tomatoes and bell peppers in my basement and have been wonder yields with this plant food. I have had such good results with this plant food for over 2 years. My kale is almost 2 years old and is being grown in a flat that is only 5 inches deep. The results speak for themselves. I hope this review was helpful for you. ... show more
