  • Training tent
Color: Blue
I got this tent so that I can teach my grandkids how to pitch a tent. This one is light to carry easily. It's a good starter tent for picnics, backyard or the beach. It's easy enough to setup and have the kids learn. Great starter tent or to have on hand in the car just in case you need one.

  • Light and Well Ventilated Tent
Color: Grey
I have used a few tents in my time, from the expensive REI types to more affordable Academy Sports types. There is a difference in fit and feel of the fabric, zippers, guy lines, screens etc. I usually use a three -person tent for extra room for my gear and so I can use a cot. My three or four person tents have done great with fitting all my stuff. This is a two person backpacking tent so I expected it to be a bit smaller. I was looking for a tent that could be smaller and better in keeping warmth in during cold season camping. Small tents theoretically have less air to warm up and if you use a heater, it'll be more efficient to heat. This tent is definitely on the smaller side. It's a perfect tent for cozy one person tenting with gear and a sleeping pad. It is a challenge to operate with a cot in there. There's not much length to fit my 6 foot cot and since it sits 7 inches off the floor, the sloping walls start bending over my head. Luckily, when I camped in it, it did not touch my head and there was no dew to drip onto me. This will not fit a longer cot though my cot was 2 ft wide and there was still some room on either side to fit my gear. Again, this tent is meant for backpacking, so one should expect it to be close quarters inside. The tent fabric feels sturdy and on the stiffer side. The zippers have a good smooth pull and do not seem prone to snagging and catching on tent material. The material has a shiny sheen on it and it seems to repel water just fine though the description says it's only for light rain. I did not experience rain overnight in the tent, but a couple things make this tent suitable only for light rain. The rain fly is short and does not extend much past the screened top portion of the tent. This makes it good for ventilation, but if rain starts to blow in the wind, you might find some water coming in during gusts. Also, the floor is not lined as heavily with tarp material. My budget tents had tarp like material line the bottom and go up the sides about four inches. I would bring a tarp and setup on top of it while in this tent. Doing this will also help protect your floor material from wear and punctures from your gear. The door is protected with two layers - one layer is an insect screen. The second layer is a solid tent door that zips in the middle of the door. For both the screen and the door, you would need to roll each side and fasten it to the edge of the tent. This provides a tremendous amount of air flow when coupled with an open back window, the airy screen top with short rain fly and the overall small space inside. I really like the ventilation in this tent. The only drawback is that there is a lot of unzipping needed to get in or out of the tent. Also, there is also no shade/rain visor at the entrance. The tent thought is light and straightforward to assemble and fold back up. Overall this light tent is worth the money. The big plus is the ventilation! ... show more

  • Amazing Tent
Color: Green
This tent really surprised me with the quality of build. This really is a tent capable of sleeping 2 adults comfortably. I'm 6"2" and have no problem sleeping. I solo camp so there is ample room for me and all my gear. 2 adults of my size will fit fairly comfortably with their sleeping pads and sleeping bags and have room for 2 medium size backpacks. There is no vestibule so any gear you have will need to go in the tent with you unless your car camping of course. Every seam on the tent is taped, window, door, around the mesh vent at top, and around the entire body connecting the floor, and the rainfly seams are taped as well. There is no seam on the tent without seam tape. Also the seam tape is quality work. There are no gaps or tape that is not lined with the seams. The stitching is top notch as well, no uneven stitching or misaligned stitching. The rainfly has plastic hooks on stretchable bands that connect to the clips on the tent body that attach to the tent poles. You can adjust the length of the bands by just untying the knot and retying the knot to make the stretchable band shorter. Also there is a little tie ribbon on the underside of rainfly that attaches to each of the poles as well. These do not have to be tied unless you want to as the clips hold the fly down very well. The tent poles connect to the tent by 2 clips on each corner and 2 sleeves at the top. You need to insert the poles through the sleeves first then insert each pole end through the attached grommets at each corner then you can lift the poles and attach the clips. At the top there is a tie strap to tie the poles together where they cross at the top. The poles are very sturdy for this size tent, I think they are 9.5 mm but not positive. There are also 4 pre attached guy out lines, one at each corner about half way up the tent body. There are also 9 stakes that come with the tent, ne for each corner of the tent, one for each guy out line, and one for the front door. The front door has a zipper that runs right down the middle with zipper pulls on the inside and outside and a loop sewn in on each side at the bottom of zipper. The stake for the front door would be used in windy and rainy weather. All you do is from the inside of the tent you reach through the door and cross the loops together and press the stake down then you zip the door down. The door screen zips down the middle and across the bottom to completely enclose the tent so no bugs, rodents, or snakes can get in. You can open one side or the other or both, same as the outer door. The mesh door also has zipper pulls on the inside and outside. There is a window on the back end that has a fabric closure that can zip down to reveal a mesh screen. With the mesh window at one end the huge mesh door on the other end and the mesh overhead there is plenty of air flow. I own 3 other tents that I purchased with my own money, a Eureka Sunriver 2, a Mountainsmith Upland 2, and a Coleman Sundome 4. I have to say that this tent is every bit as good as my Eureka and Mountainsmith in quality of workmanship. The only advantage of those two over the Forceatt is they have 8.5mm aluminum poles, however the fiberglass poles on this Forceatt are thicker than the aluminum poles on the other two tents, that's why I think they are 9.5mm, and that extra thickness makes the Forceatt tent extremely strong. I think it could weather any situation as the other two tents. Now as for the Coleman, this Forceatt hands down beats it in every way. build quality, materials, and especially strength. I have taken this on two camping trips and am amazed at just how good this tent is for the price. Now I got this free as a vine participant and was a bit leery about trying this tent thinking there was no way that this tent could compare with my other tents and I have to say I was surprised it was just as good as my Eureka and Mountainsmith, which cost about 3 times the price, and just completely blew my Coleman out of the water. If your new to camping or a veteran camper or on a budget, you should consider this tent, it will hang with some of the best. ... show more
