    • Solid mount, STRONG magnet!
This is an excellent mount. Very well made and very strong magnet. I have it mounted on a vinyl dash and it isn't going anywhere. The magnet is so strong that the metal plate I have on the back of my phone cover is too much. It's actually difficult to get the phone off. I don't consider that a problem with the mount. I would recommend using the metal rings included in the package. Usually the magnets aren't strong enough and I have the largest phone you can buy. I would imagine this would even hold a tablet easily. I like it so much I'm buying another one as a spare. Also for those of you that are thinking about mounting it on your dash, it is a sticky gel suction cup and does not leave residue on my dash. Obviously if you have an old flaky dash or cracked up you probably should not put it on there. But it will certainly stick to the windshield with no problem. Easily removable too.     • So far pretty good
I have an older car and the plastic vents tend to become brittle with age, so I wanted a dashboard mount for my phone. This is not that much different from the kind I used to get 10+ years ago, but those worked well so I’m good with that. It does have better articulation than I remember. It seems well constructed and sturdy, and I’m confident that unless I properly remove it, it won’t come off without pulling on it with a good deal of force—probably more than I could do myself. Installation was fairly straightforward even though the instructions are not very detailed/ in tiny print, and only took a few minutes. It comes with everything you need unless your dashboard is really dirty in which case you might want to clean it first as the prep wipes provided are tiny. I love the magnet. It pops right on and off with one hand and seems to have ample force to hold my phone up. I already had a MagSafe phone case, but it comes with 2 magnets to attach to your phone case(s) if you don’t have one. It sits nicely on the dash and if i turn the phone horizontally it barely obstructs my view. The only issue I’ve had so far is that it bounces a little on the dashboard which is annoying, but my trucks shocks are old so it’s not a very smooth ride and I have it positioned so the arm extends over the surface of the dash and rests on part of it so it seems inevitable. Anyway it might be resolved by tightening the joint that suspends it over the dash, or failing that I could put a little padding on the spot where they touch. I have a 21 Toyota Highlander and I needed a good dash mount for my phone since I haven’t been too successful with vent mounts due to the way the vents are made so I’m happy to report that this mount is just what I needed. The suction is strong enough to stay put on my dash and the magnet holds my phone in place securely. It’s a great value for the price considering it comes with the combo option of the vent attachment as well, but I won’t be needing it because I’m completely satisfied using the dash mount option. Oh and I also love how it can adjust the arm of the mount to come out further if need it to which is amazing. I’d highly recommend this mount. ... show more

weird title I know, but hear me out. I got this for my new phone case, because my old clamp mount wouldn't fit over the hinge protector(my phone is the moto razr+) so I got this magsafe one, and after installing, realized I needed to move it over a bit. After trying for several minutes, trying my damndest not to break my windshield in the proccess, and making sure I had the suction latch undone, I came to the conclusion, that the instructions should either go more in depth on how to remove/move it, or there should be a ONE ATTATCHED WILL BE PERMINANT warning of somekind lol. Either way, it's ok where it is, and I don't want to keep trying to remove it. TLDR, in the end I can use it as advertised, the magnet is more than strong enough, and the adheasive is a bit too strong. 9/10 would recomment with a warning. ... show more

I purchased this for my Honda CR-V which doesn't have traditional flat vents, so my old phone holder didn't work. I purchased this one and was a little worried it would block my vision a bit.
