This is a very strong suction cup. The model 47 wasn't listed as a compatible device, but it works great. There are two size ball fittings, each has two different length stems. The smaller one fits inside the actual thread space, which is a little confusing at first. The longer stem ball is more snug on the dash cam, the shorter stem ball is more loose, so I didn't use that one. There is a round piece of adhesive that you can use in conjunction with the suction cup, but I didn't need it. It's very snug without it, but overtime with the weather & sunlight, maybe I will use it. Overall, for the price, I highly recommend. The one major flaw with the magnet mount that comes with the dash cam is it's permanent, you cannot remove it, or transfer it to a different car. That makes this suction mount much more practical, as it can be removed much easier. ... show more

    • Nice little accessory for displaying your garmin GPS without altering or drilling into vehicle.
Size: Air Vent Mount
Much more secure and places unit at a convenient level for viewing while driving. I've used the suction cup mounts in past and it seems that you are periodically having to reattach them and having your gps fall or dangle from the power cord. This was simple to install and remove, and unlike the other vent mount I have, it doesn't have the hook on the back that requires you to insert a thin blade and pry up to remove. I did find that it is most secure when pushed all the way back into the face of the vent to be most secure. Depending on how you mount it, and where, you may impede some of the air flow from the vent, and pushed tight against it, you may find it limits the amount of adjustment you have with directing the air flow. I bought this to mount a Garmin Tandem dash cam in my Chevy Bolt. It came with all the shown parts plus a few extra ball connectors, an extra wing nut and a set of shorter screws for mounting if appropriate. From eyeing the Garmin 17 mm ball connector and the ones (two of different lengths) supplied with the kit, they look identical. When actually attaching it to the dash cam the ball seemed like it might be just slightly larger, but I'm not sure. In any case, it did connect without any real issues, and I was confident that the connection was robust. For me, the mount didn't work out, but mostly because the Chevy Bolt has a very large housing on the windshield containing multiple sensors, and I couldn't find a position I liked for the cam to get a good front view while also being unobtrusive in the cabin. If the Bolt was like many cars without that large sensor system, it would have been fine. Attaching it to the mirror post was a bit tricky due to lack of working space, but not really a big issue. All the components are sufficiently sturdy that I had no concerns about long-term reliability. But, if I was continually removing and reattaching the cam to the mount, it is certainly possible that the plastic components could eventually fail. So, I think it is a decent kit that will work for Garmin products that use a 17 mm ball attachment and will work well for many vehicles. ... show more

Size: 3M Adhesive Mount
I really try to be fair when it comes to reviewing products that I buy. This didn't work for me. Pros: - it fit my Garmin 5" GPS properly - snapped into the ball socket securely - it does swivel and articulate enough that it would have worked on my dashboard Cons: - did NOT come with 3M adhesive base - missing adhesive! - had to use my own mounting tape - the base plate is very brittle - it snapped when I tried to bend it slightly to fit the contour of my car's dashboard - it is definitely not worth $9.99 in my opinion - since I broke it, I can't return it - I tried to bend it ever so slightly and the plastic is more brittle than any other I've handled before You could say that I shouldn't have tried to bend it but it was only 3 degrees of angle (or less) that I needed to make it match the dash. The plastic is very brittle. I may still try to use this and just epoxy the swivel part to a different piece of plastic that I can bend to fit the dash. So, if you do order this and it doesn't have the adhesive, I would recommend returning it. Also, if the part of your dash where you are mounting this isn't perfectly flat, don't plan on tweaking the plastic base. ... show more

Size: Mirror Mount
Parts are made out of plastic or plastic composite. Fairly straightforward install. Uses wing nuts to tighten the clamping block to hold it to the rear view mirror mount with rubber in between to prevent it from rotating easily. The 17mm balls are not uniform in size, one may be 16mm and another could be 17.5mm. So you’ll need to pay attention when assembling. The dog bone clamp that I received uses a wing nut instead of the pictured knob, but it still works. Assembled it will not allow a Garmin gps to sit bellow the mirror and be seen, it needs to be a touch longer in overall length. I used the dog bone clamp from another set that is double the length and it sits perfect now. As for durability, only time will tell. ... show more
