I have rain barrels that I had been struggling to fully utilize and was hand watering using a bucket that kept breaking apart on me. This pump is incredible! It's quiet, has strong flow, easy to use and put together. My only complaint is I wish it had an on/off switch vs unplugging the unit to turn it off. This has definitely changed my watering habits and can now increase my water catchment system. I've only used it once and I was the happiest gardener ever. I'll update my post if anything changes but I'd recommend this pump for moving water from your rain barrel to your plants 🪴 ... show more

I did quite a bit of research before buying this product. I bought it because I strained my hip and back from repeatedly having to fill and carry watering cans with the water from my rain barrels. So far, I have only needed to use it once, but I am very pleased with its design and that it works as advertised. I was able to water over 50 feet of hose length with the power remaining strong. It is extremely quiet, so I don't have to worry about disturbing the neighbors. I did need to buy a hose adapter to connect to my hose. On the downside, the only way to turn it off is to pull out the plug--in either manual or automatic mode. The pump continues to run even if the water valve is turned to the off position. It appears to leak when the water valve is turned off--I need to see if this happens when I use it again. ... show more

using this pump to drain the pool down below the skimmer for the winter. all i can say is WOW. this thing pumps like on open fire hydrant. i had this connected to extra pool suction hose that i had . ( is that what its called). the hose is about 30 feet long and i hung the pump 2 feet into the water. the pump i received , is exact except for the bottom. it doesnt have holes on the bottom side like in the picture. it only has holes on the very bottom, which i like even better, because you can pump water to the floor of you had to, instead of to 1 inch. the stainless steel housing is nice, but this is one occasion i might have liked high quality plastic better. plastic doesnt dent , stainless steel will. just have to be carefull. comes with extra fittings for various hose connections. and a very long power cord. yes , buy it. ... show more

Wow-this thing is powerful. We are constructing a flagstone patio in our backyard, and at one point during the process it was just a giant recessed area in the yard. So when it rained it flooded the area and would not drain. We ended up having to rent the roof pump from home depot twice because it kept raining and reflooding before we could finish. That pump was horrible-it was very inconsistent, and took hours to drain the area with constant adjustments to make sure it was still draining. And even then it was just barely trickling out of the hose. We made some adjustments on the yard in terms of drainage and ended up buying this pump to work in the area long term-best purchase ever. This thing is so powerful and efficient-in 10 seconds it can spit out a couple gallons of water. It makes me so mad that I spent all that money renting the "high quality" pump when I could've bought a great pump like this for a fraction of the cost. We've been using it for a month so far and no problems. My only complaint is that there's no switch on the pump to turn it off-you have to unplug directly from the outlet. That means that there's a delay in turning off the pump resulting in it being run dry for a little bit before we can run to the other side and unplug. But in terms of power and bang for your buck this is definately the pump to get. ... show more
