  • Smart Pump: Three modes are available. Smart mode: Instant hot water always available. Energy-saving mode: If you don't use the hot water for some time, the pump will decrease the temperature setting point automatically. Manual mode: the most energy saving mode, just start the pump few minutes before you need the hot water. Smart memory function. 3 running speed. The pump can remember the last settings when it was powered off. Work well with the smart plug.
  • Can work with tank less and tanked water heater. Super energy saving application recommendation: Set the pump in manual mode. Start the pump by push remote control middle button. The pipe water will reach the setting temperature in few minutes. And then the pump will shut off in 60 minutes. There will be no 60 minutes extension if you start the pump by the pump HAND button. Care your water heater (Longer life no more frequent start). Save gas, save water.

  • This is a plumbing device so be prepared for the unexpected.
Size: pipe size 1/2",15" length
All in all I think this product will be worth the money and the time contorted under the kitchen sink. Like any DIY plumbing project prepare for the unexpected and hope for no leaks when finished. First, the unexpected for my project. The hot water supply valve was frozen in the open position requiring replacement before installing the pump. First trip to Home Depot. Next, my kitchen faucet doesn't use conventional supply lines. They are 3/8" but made of a hard plastic and not removable from the faucet. This necessitated second trip to HD to find 1/2" to 3/8" adapter for the supply lines. I was installing pump behind a garbage disposal with all sorts of extra plumbing and supply and discharge lines for the dishwasher. Thus I had to mount pump to side of supply faucets so needed 20" supply lines necessitating 3rd run to HD. (Also picked up pipe dope). Couldn't use the lines provided with pump since they were both 1/2 x 1/2 even though they were suppose to be 1/2 x 3/8. Word of advise, when looking for plumbing supplies at HD it can be a challenge since everything has been rummaged through and the shelves are not well organized. I've learned to check inventory on-line before heading to store then narrow your self shopping by looking for the price on the shelf as opposed to trying to spot by box or package info. So, after getting everything I thought I needed to complete installation it was time to put everything together. The mounting device for the pump is poorly designed. I was able to attach it to the back of my cabinet by putting a small wooden spacer between the back of the cabinet and the wall since the back of the cabinet was open around the drain and connections. However, the mount does not lock in position and those hard plastic hoses on my faucet were stiff enough to cause the pump to twist on the mount. I don't think that will impair operation since the pump is relatively straight, but not perfect. I made sure washers were in place when installing the tees and also used Teflon tape. The supply lines I bought at HD were all compression type connectors so they sealed well but I did use pipe dope on all supply lines at the stop valves and the pump. So, moment of truth....turned on the new hot water supply valve and no leaks. Plugged in the pump and plugged it in. It made some noise but this was due to initial filling. After that I turned on the water and no leaks. Needless to say, I was pleased. After a half hour or so I had almost instant hot water. The cold was warming but that's okay. No more rinsing greasy dishes with cold water. I also am using a Wemo (Belkin) Smart plug programed to turn pump on at 6am and off at 9pm. Also put a smart water sensor in the cabinet just in case anything starts leaking. All-in-all, this project wasn't hard, just a little challenging to get everything lined up and connected. Be patient and take your time. I'm 6'4" so trying to get arms and legs in proper position to torque wrenches is a challenge but actual hook-up time was probably around 30 minutes. Attached photo of adapter used to connect faucet hose to tee. Also purchased the remote but don't think it's necessary. Doesn't seem to do anything except to allow increasing sensor temperature control a few degroff. UPDATE: The remote does allow you to adjust the sensor temperature up or down which does enable a little control over the warm water on the cold side. Having warm water doesn't bother me but the Queen has made a few off the cuff comments. So, I've tracked our usage pattern at the kitchen sink. Seems that most hot water usage is after dinner. So, with the ability to precisely control the Wemo plug I have the pump plugged into, I can tell the pump to shut off at any time after it comes on by programming auto-off in the Wemo app. So, I can program Google home or Wemo to turn the pump on or off at any time and then tell the Wemo app to turn it off 5 minutes (or any number of minutes) later. Can also tell Google Assistant or Alexa to turn on whenever I want hot water and 5 minutes later Wemo app will automatically shut it off. Not quite as efficient as installing an add-on selinoid but a whole lot easier and way less expensive. ... show more

  • An almost perfect product at a very competitive price
Size: pipe size 1/2",12" length
I have purchased three of these now: one for my kitchen, one for my master bath (my house's plumping is Y-shaped so I need separate ones), and one for parents-in-law as a gift. It is a surprisingly good product for the price (similarly functional models can be hundreds of dollars more). I too was initially skeptical, but I have been using them for 6 months now and they are fantastic. I only run in manual mode so that I activate it whenever I want hot water. Quite quiet and very effective. I had two complaints about the product of which one has now been solved. 1) With the remote, once activated in manual mode, the pump stays on for 60 minutes more. The whole point of manual mode is to only be on when I activate it. However, I see that they now produce a version that does not have this 60 minute extended on feature. So one complaint completely resolved! 2) Even when the pump is off, water can flow from the hot water line to the cold. As a result, when the cold water tap is on, I get warm water. Note this is NOT because the pump has pumped some water from the hot water line into the cold as some reviewers have assumed. I have a on-demand hot water heater so I can hear it turning on whenever I use the cold tap (it turns on whenever there is flow in the hot water line). The pump has a check valve to prevent water from flowing from cold -> hot, but not from hot ->cold (indeed, you want water to move from hot to cold while the pump is running). It is true that the first couple of seconds are warm because of pumped hot water but regularly warm water is caused by water flowing from the hot water line. Turning the pump off has no effect on whether water can flow through the inactive pump from the hot water side to the cold. However, I have now resolved this on my set up by adding a drinking water-safe solenoid valve to the cold side of the pump. This valve is closed whenever unpowered and open when powered. I got one that also uses 24V DC (the same as the pump) so that I could wire it directly into the pump or use the same power supply. The product proved surprisingly sturdy to getting the cover off to do that (and I didn't want to break it) so instead I just have both the pump and solenoid valve plugged into the same smart outlet. Now, when I turn on the outlet, both the pump and valve activate and everything runs normally and when the outlet is off, my cold and hot water lines are isolated and I have only cold water when the cold water tap is on. If you happen to have lower pressure in your hot water line than your cold, you may also not have very warm water (as most of the water will be coming from the cold line), but this is not my situation. I consider this the ultimate setup (I note a previous reviewer added a manual valve to do something similar, but I didn't want to have to bend down under the sink and turn the valve every time I wanted to turn the pump on). The cheapest drinking water-safe valve I found was about $120, so I recognize that if PROZRTED wanted to add this feature built-in that 1) it would cost a lot more and 2) it would be a bulkier product, but I would have been happy to pay the extra for the perfect product. Hence, I call it a "near-perfect" product. Is it really a big deal to have warm water in my cold tap or to have my water heater click on when I only want cold water? No, of course not, but it is less than ideal. All-around a great product and worth getting, but it can be made to be even better. Details in case anyone else wants to copy my setup. I got a 1/2" pipe (to match my pump) drinking water-safe solenoid valve. It's female 1/2" NPT on both sides. Whatever this pump's product page says, the pump and the T-joint fittings are not NPT but NPS. NPT and NPS have very similar threads and will engage together but NPT seals by the threads tightening into each other because of the taper and NPS seals by screwing all the way in and pressing against a gasket, so, in general they don't seal together. NPS male will seal with an NPT female if you just add a ton (like 6 turns) of teflon tape to the male, that's what I did for the pump to solenoid valve connection, but NPT male will NOT seal with NPS female. For the valve (1/2" female NPT) to the T-joint (1/2" female NPS), it was quite the challenge as it is really hard to find NPS couplings in the US (and I really wanted to ensure any I got were rated for drinking water so I didn't want some random ones from the internet). I eventually found 1/2" male NPS to 1/2" male NPS at a sink supply store (marketed at a male thread shank assembly, the guy at the sink supply store was kind enough to cut the really long side of this item down for me to make it a little neater looking). I actually manage to fit one of the gaskets that came with the pump into the downstream (i.e. cold line) side of the valve and put a ton of teflon tape on my NPS male shank (not totally sure if it's sealing against the gasket or teflon tape, but all I care about is that it doesn't leak). The side with the T-joint worked perfectly since that is 1/2"NPS male to 1/2"NPS female. The solenoid valve doesn't come with a 120V AC-24VDC power supply, so you need to either buy one or use one you might have lying around. I attached a picture (the black tube in the picture is the dishwasher drain line). ... show more

  • Pretty good so far
Size: pipe size 1/2",15" length
Good value. I installed this pump a couple days ago under my laundry room sink. This location is the farthest point from the hot water tank. There is an adjacent bathroom that also benefits from the instant hot water. I wish the mounting bracket would work better in a 90 degree rotation (finger pointing left/right, instead of up/down). This would enable much easier hose connections in my setup. The 15" hoses are barely long enough. I got the remote control because I wanted to adjust the temperature set point. This can only be done with the remote control. The on/off button on the remote would be perfect for my manual on demand use, except that the pump stays on for another 60 minutes after the temperature is reached. That makes no sense. I see there is another model (-E) that eliminates the 60 minute extension, but I don't see that model available on Amazon. So, I have the pump set at Smart Temperature (orange light) and use a remote plug to turn on the pump when needed via wireless switch. Just need to remember to turn off the switch once the water is hot. If I forget to turn off the switch, then the pump will cycle every 15 minutes or so on my system. Not the end of the world, but this wastes energy by heating the water when not needed. ... show more
