I got this to go behind my kiddos dresser because I have one of those houses in which no matter how I arrange, or minimize, outlets are always blocked. Grr. Anyway, I needed the flat plug so the dresser can go right up to the wall without the plug sticking out. This works perfectly for that. It does not have surge protection, but that's ok because it just for a nightlight, alarm clock and random charging of things when not in use. Since it has no surge, I do think the cost is a little high. However, I realize everything has gone up this year, so hopefully it will go down at some point. It is perfect for a bedroom and I'm just happy the dresser fits better now :) ... show more

    • You never have enough AC outlets or USB charging ports.
I am forever adding things onto my desk that require either another open AC plug outlet, or a USB for charging devices. This one is handy because it is compact, a nice shade of white, and sports two 3-prong outlets on the top, and on each side, there are two each of additional two-prong outlets for plugging in lamps and other two prong devices. In addition to that you have two USB-C charging ports, as well as a single USB-A. This is the kind of thing you consider putting on your desk for easy access instead of having to crawl under it on order to hook something up. Yes, this is not a surge protector, but I wouldn't expect to get a surge that is any kind of effective for anywhere near this price. Cheap surges don't work when you really need them. Be sure to check the joules rating and compare. A direct hit of lighting right outside and the resulting 600,000 volts will waste anything protected or not. Anyhow, that is a rarity, and you get the idea. The cord is plenty long to reach down to the outlet from on top of a desk for example, or onto a different location on the floor. The only problem with putting it on a desk is there isn't any way to keep it put instead of sliding around. So, get a good surge protector, and plug this power strip in addition to your other power strips into it. That way you are getting better surge protection shared with more devices. All in all, a nice unit, and should make a nice addition to your arsenal. ... show more

Handy extension cord...with a switch! We use our RV a lot, and there never seems to be enough convenient outlets for our stuff. This extension cords really helps to fix that problem! Here's what I like: - The small footprint plugs offer 6 AC outlets (two with 3-prong plugs), and 3 USB outlets (2 of type-C, 1 regular USB). - The plugs are switched, with a small status light indicating whether they are on or off. - The four 2-prong plugs are on the sides of the outlet, allowing multiple adapters of almost any shape to coexist. - The cord is heavy enough for safe 15 amp (total) usage. - The wall plug is flat, and offset by 45°, so it works well with other plugs, and works well on a floor outlet. Some comments... - The cord is only 5 feet long - 10 foot would be really nice. - The status light, while very dark room friendly, is weak in daylight. - There is no surge protection, it is "only" an extensdion cord. Overall, I really like this cord, it's proving very useful for us already. ... show more

This extension cord is great to extend your number of available plugs on trips where a traditional power surge cord cannot be used (like a cruise ship). So far so good! I like that you have a lot of options for plug ins with this device. I wish it were actually a surge protector too. I also would like more regular usb outlets. It works great and is very helpful.
