This transfer bench worked just as expected. assembling the bench was work, if you have a power drill/tool this is the time to use, there are quite a few screws, be sure to assemble per the directions, otherwise parts will not fit together. Yes, I speak from experience.

Product appears durable. Package was missing two screws. Contacted seller They are shipping the two screws. Worked well for my tub that has minimal available space. Included all tools required for assembly but having a 10 mm wrench and regular Phillips screwdriver for assembly will make assembly much faster. They did include a wrench and Phillips, but having better tools will make assembly easier. Assembly is straight forward, takes about 30 minutes to assemble.. i docked one star on assembly due to missing bolts. I would make the same choice again , i understand missing parts sometimes happens. Bench seems durable, in spite of its light weight. Seat sections have drain holes for water. ... show more

We purchased this for an elderly parent who was injured. It makes things easier and much safer than without such a tub transfer chair. It is highly recommended and liked by the user and by us who have become the caretakers. None of us had considered purchasing this item before the injury, but now realize how much more comfortable and easier it is to be sitting in the shower. If you don't have a built-in bench, consider purchasing before actually needing one for comfort and safety's sake. We are happy with this particular model. ... show more

You can find this same bench, much easier to assemble, with much better customer service at Home Depot. I ordered this because of an upcoming knee surgery and put it together a few days before the surgery. The product had obviously been used and returned before as it was scratched, the holes had gouges and marks from previous screwing and unscrewing, and hairs caught in the plastic. Putting it together was difficult as the tools it came with did not fit the screws and nuts very well. After I got halfway into building it I realized I was missing one of the feet of the bench, making it completely useless. I called the manufacturer the next day as Amazon said to do on the product page. The manufacturer told me they couldn't do anything for me and gave me a number for Amazon. The number didn't work. I called again and got a different number for Amazon. The Amazon employee told me my two options were to get a 25% discount on the item and keep it or return it, get a credit, and buy it again. Get a 25% discount and keep a shower seat that's missing a leg? I asked if they could just send me the missing parts and was told that is not possible. asked if they could send me the new one before I returned the old one since my surgery is in a few days. He told me that "wasn't one of the available options" and then put me on hold. 10 minutes spent on hold later I hung up. I went and picked up the better, easier to assemble version at Home Depot and i'll be returning this one for a refund. ... show more
