  • Incredible weight bench
Style Name: Without Preacher Curl Attachment
I purchased this bench in 2018 and have used it several times a week since then. It has held up very well. There is nothing light about this bench, despite what might be in the name. It is a light "Commercial" grade bench. It is not light and is not terribly easy to move around. All of that being said, the bench is very well made and I don't foresee needing to replace it anytime soon. ... show more

  • I'm betting this is the last bench I'll ever buy for our home gym. Very highly recommended
Style Name: Without Preacher Curl Attachment
I just bought this bench with the leg developer attachment. It's been in my home gym for just under a week. This thing is a beast. It weighs about 140 lbs with the leg developer. But it's relatively easy to move around with the attached rubber and ball bearing "scooter" wheels. I can't see ever breaking this thing. Very sturdy and easy to adjust. Well designed and plenty of steel. Also a very well padded seat, backrest, and leg supports with high quality vinyl coverings. It is also very easy to put together. There are really only a handful of parts and fasteners. Fitness reality even supplied 2 stamped steel wrenches in the leg developer box and another 2 drop forged steel wrenches in the bench box. The only other tool I used was a rubber mallet to help line things up in a couple of instances. The fasteners are grouped on a piece of cardboard and labeled by assembly step then vacuum sealed to the cardboard. The "assembly instructions" consist of 7 diagrams and very few words. But the drawings are so clear and the parts so clearly labeled that anyone should be able to assemble this alone in under an hour with no problems. I bought a cheaper bench about 41/2 years ago for my then 15 year old son to use with a set of Power Blocks. I didn't know if he'd stick with weight training. I had used a glide board almost exclusively up to that point. Fast forward 4 1/2 years and we wore that bench out. My son is 19 and weight trains every day. I started using that bench mainly for the leg developer but then more and more with the free weights. Bottom line is that the cheap bench served us well but the frame finally broke and vinyl seat covering was coming apart. It was a lighter sheet steel that was joined with bolts rather than welds. Some notable steps up from our old bench with this Fitness Reality bench..... 1.) Larger seat for my big butt. 2.) A more tapered backrest under the shoulders provides better freedom of movement for arms and shoulders. 3.) More range of adjustment in the seat and backrest. 4.) Better quality padding and vinyl coverings everywhere.....much better. Very comfortable. 5.) Leg lock for ab work. Our old bench didn't have that. 6.) Leg developer better suited to taller users. My feet used to drag on the floor when doing leg extension on our old bench. Now I have about 4" of clearance and I can get a full range of motion without interruption. 7.) Leg developer can handle 180 lbs of steel plate vs 100 on our old bench. 100 lbs was just not enough. 8.) Better range of motion and again a 180 lb max weight on the preacher curl. 9.) Quicker, easier backrest adjustment that uses gravity and a metal stop rather than a spring loaded release that forces you to bend down. 10.) Wider spread on the legs for more stability. This bench doesn't tip forward with 100 lbs on the leg developer like the old bench. I'm betting this is the last bench I'll ever buy for our home gym. Very highly recommended ... show more

  • Great bench
Style Name: Without Preacher Curl Attachment
Honestly, unless you’re getting a $500+ commercial grade bench, this is everything you need and more. It is solid and has everything you need from a bench, including a slight decline. It is heavy, but that’s what I’d expect from a solid bench like this. Easy to move with the wheels and the ability to add on the various attachments makes it worth so much more than they’re charging for it. I bought the preacher curl/leg attachment separately and it compliments it nicely. The only gripe I have is with the angle selector for the seat…the pin that holds the seat in place could be a bit longer. I did have one scare when I had the angled moved up slightly and I went to throw up weights and the pin slipped a bit and the seat fell. This could have been much worse than me just getting my heart racing a bit…but it seems to not give me much trouble as long as I set the pin and sit in it and put pressure first. Overall I’d highly recommend this bench. I paid considerably less than the advertised price, but I’d probably still buy at this price. ... show more

  • Hard to beat
Style Name: Without Preacher Curl Attachment
I can’t seem to find another commercial quality bench that comes with leg development attachments. This is the one for me. I sold my last one with the whole cage to make room in my garage and regretted it ever since. So I bought it again. I now have a half rack with a weight stack and this will do great. ... show more

  • The last bench you’ll need
Style Name: Without Preacher Curl Attachment
This bench is incredibly well made and versatile! Full adjustability, leg hold downs, great foam padding, and solid ergonomics. Pros - the foam is actually comfortable and supportive, even with a lot of weight on the bar or while doing single arm dumbbell lifts - the bench is incredibly stable in all positions - the adjustability from full incline to decline is supported by both the back and the seat so you don’t feel all bent out of shape when you’re trying to do decline - unit is extremely easy to move around by picking up the front and rolling it. - the leg hold down being removable is really nice when you want to use it as a flat bench - at least one reviewer stated that it was too tall. It’s the exact same height (+/- .25 inches) as the rogue flat bench, adidas flat bench, and all other commercial benches I could find and measure at my local gym. - this bench has enough space for me to do decline work. I’m 6’3” and had a hard time getting a bench where my head didn’t hit the floor until I found this. I have room to spare which is a nice feeling. Cons - it doesn’t have a dedicated handle to lift on the front so you end up picking it up by the mounting point where the leg hold down goes. The plastic insert isn’t particularly comfortable to grab on the bottom. ... show more
