This unit appears well built, it does not have any lights so it may be used in the root zone of a hydroponic chamber. I placed it in a 3.5l plastic box and it quickly generated about 1l of dense cold cloud, and about an additional 0.5l of thinner cloud. I did not measure the temperature over time but the manufacturer claims it has an internal temperature sensor, to shut it off above 60c ... show more

Makes a lot of mist for such a small thing but gets pretty hot. After half a day in ~3 gallons of water at the recommended depth it raised all of the water in the tank to 85 degrees even though ambient temp is only 65. Not sure if its supposed to get that hot but it works for my application. I think for a lot of applications though, it would be too hot. I like that there are NO LIGHTS to disturb night/sleep. The media could not be loaded. Just got this delivered today. Not too bad actually. It seems to be made of pretty durable material and is much heavier than expected. My only issue is that is splashes way more then I would like as you can see in my video but it does produce a good amount of mist

For a cheap piece this works pretty well. Been running this mister in a carnivorous plant setup for two weeks. It's quiet, the auto shutoff is reliable, and it's keeping my plants moist. It runs a little hot, and the cable is a bit awkwardly placed in the body, which makes it hard to position where I want it. ... show more
