  • Nice solar pump
I have bought two of these pumps and they work very well for my application. I like my first pump setup better because it had a solar charger instead of a battery system. I’ve not been able to get it to work like my first one that I have a battery attached. I’m currently pumping around 100 gallons of water per hour to my holding tanks which are over 600 feet away from my water source. The company has been great to work with and I’ll definitely buy another solar pump system when I need it from them. ... show more

  • An incomplete useless toy, not a serious product.
I bought this for $331, assuming it was a complete kit. It is far from complete. It came with: A small solar panel that is practically useless. There is no mounting bracket, screws, or any other hardware. I'm not even sure if it will work. A small plastic box containing one small circuit board and a small battery pack. A pump with an 8-foot cord. A small length of red and black wire, probably 4-6 feet long. There is no hose, no fittings, no extender cable connector, and no mounting hardware for the pump or battery pack. I don't think anyone can make this work without spending another $300 to $500 at the minimum. After opening three sets of boxes, I repacked everything and decided to return it. This is a joke. I need my money back. ... show more

  • Right product for the right application
This works great for moving water for wells and holding tanks. My natural swim pool application didn't fit the product, as I need constant water movement to filter properly. They do have a swim pool pump that is a better fit for me. No hassle return.

  • Customer service is great :)
I really like this well-pump. It has great lift and reliability and the solar panels connect easily to the control box. There was an issue, however, with the control box when it arrived - the switch, to be specific. Because our property is in a remote area of Oregon and internet access is hit or miss, it took some time to get connected with customer service about this, but once I was able to message consistently with Belle, the problem was resolved in No Time! Thank you so much, Fister. You're taking really good care of your customers and I will happily consider your storefront for future purchases. ... show more

  • Low construction quality
Bought this pump to pull water from our pond to run down a rock wall for watering bees. The first control was defective, which they nicely replaced right away. After charging for 2 solid days in our desert sun, it ran all day till almost sunset. There after it would start to run late in the morning and stop before sunset. It worked well enough for our needs…..4 months later it stopped altogether. I pulled the pump up and the casing was full of water. The seals had failed. I opened the pump to find it rusted out to the point where no wiring was connected anymore. I took the time to clean everything up and re-solder and fix everything, cleaning and living the seals well and reassembled. It worked well for about 2 more weeks and is dead again. After seeing inside last time, I’ll be replacing it with something better built to last. Also, the flow was only 1gpm at best. ... show more

  • You will need to extend the cables...
I used the pump on the pond's edge for the first few months because the cables between the pump and the battery weren't long enough to extend to the deeper area. However, the water level dropped during the summer, and the pump was no longer submerged. I had to go to the hardware store and purchase wire, crimpers, and butt terminals (yes, I giggled). Extending the wire was a relatively simple process; I just took my time and did a little overkill to ensure the join was watertight. ... show more

  • 3 months old not working
***2nd Update*** After 3 very short months our well pump is no longer working. The company told me the last time I wrote a (crappy) review that if I changed my review then they would send me a new battery. The 2nd batter was also defective. Now the entire unit is defective. Please do not buy this product. I have wasted my money and have now wasted my chance to return this pump because of the company's promises. *Update* The company is now working with us and sent us a new well pump battery. We've had this well pump for less than a month. At first it worked fine. Then only worked if the panel was in the sun. Now it only works if I connect it to a boat battery. It's going to be a pain but I'm going to fish it out of my well and return it. I've already contacted the company and their only suggestion would be to buy a voltmeter to test the system. ... show more

  • Just what I needed
I Installed this on my shed, and dropped the pump into a 275 gallon tote that is collecting rain water. With a little "creative plumbing", I can now water a section of my garden I couldn't reach from the house hose, and I have a dry sink I can wash my hands, or the freshly picked veggies. Under the dry sink, I can collect the water and return it to the tote. For the money, there is enough pressure for a better than gentle watering, and with the switch onboard, you can definitely keep this pump for a long time. ... show more
