Very nice, sturdy, fast pump. Easy to assemble. Does not stand up on it's own so you have to be coordinated to hold it up, run the on/off switch and direct the hose so you don't make a mess.

I just use my "thin" 20 amp dewalt drill batteries. They each last about 20 mins or so, I would say. Stops every once in awhile, when gets too much debris in it, (probably just a safety feature) but I just pull it out & start it back up. When I'm done - I unscrew the plastic filter screen & hose out real good inside, and replace it - to store clean & ready for the next use. I'll try to remember to let you know how long it lasts with this kind of "dirty work" haha. (I can't get it all the way out @ the bottom, because they put too much sand in their pool. I have to bail the last part out with a bucket & soak it up with an old t-shirt.) & it doesn't seem to like to suck water when it's super low either, but that could just be the sand or debris, but I tried to put some new clean water in there 2. :P ... show more

Most of my tools are Milwaukee, I have been looking to get the milwaukee transfer pump but couldn't justify the price for something I won't use very often. Then I saw this particular item for around $100 and thought the price was right. Love that I don't need to have another battery type in my garage or a different charger, tried it to empty out a Jacuzzi and it performed great. Just putting this out in the world for everyone so everyone knows. If you buy the Big 10AH battery, it does not fit in this thing. I don't know what the biggest would fit in here is, Is there an 8Aah? And would it fit? I'm not sure. But I am certain that a 5AH and Below fits.

    • Never knew how bad my old pump was

I have a drywell that overflows and a boat cover that seems to stay full of water no matter what i do to keep it out. Previously I had a cheap, self priming transfer pump that (allegedly) has a higher flowrate than this pump. That cruddy transfer pump took FOREVER to pump out, was corded, and never could get enough suction to get the last few inches of water. This one however solves literally all my issues. I can easily connect a hose to it with head pressure to move it through a long hose with kinks and curves. I can drain the boat cover in less than 10 minutes rather than the nearly hour process the old pump made it. I can leave it and not worry about it burning itself out since it auto shuts off. Great flow rate, very light, very durable so far, doesnt clog easy, is QUIET oh my gosh its so quiet and I love it. My two complaints with it are: 1. The auto shut off should have an option to either extend the runtime longer or disable the shutoff entirely. With a battery powered device I do understand this isn't the intended use of it, but it would be nice for me personally. 2. The battery compartment should be slightly taller to accommodate larger batteries. Only the smallest and the next size up dewalt batteries fit. I cant use any of my craftsman batteries with an adapter with this thing. Again, personal preference and not a fault of the device so no points deducted, just an "I wish". ... show more

I purchased this for draining my 600 gal. hot tub. The job used to take about 2hrs to do with the gravity feed drain plug alone. This knocked the job down to a 30 minute job. It about drained the 5amp dewalt brand battery, but I felt that wat impressive for pumping 600 gallons.
