  • Fast for an inflatable and very well built.
Very easy to inflate, set up and deflate. I would say it's for someone with a small frMe/short. I'm 5' 4" and I think that's the maximum hight for comfort using this Kayak. My husband is 6' and he couldn't get his legs in fully. A small trick while inflating it, I used an electric low pressure pump to inflate the side tubes, then inflate the floor with the hand pump, the top off the side tubes. This way the kayak would be balanced. The instruction video is also helpful. Overall it's very well made and really fast for an inflatable. I was out on the lak with my husband in his HO sport kayak, and despite his strength, he was struggling to catch up with me. I recommend it if u have a no space to store a hard shell kayak. ... show more

  • Easy transport
Love it! Having so much fun with it this summer. Only suggestion would be a better back for the seat. Could be a little less flexible for support. Can't beat not having to wrestle a kayak onto the top of my car. Fits perfectly in the trunk and doesn't take long to inflate or deflate.

  • The drop stitch floor is 2 feet short
The media could not be loaded. Please be aware when you purchase this boat, the drop stitch floor may be 2 feet short to the entire length of the boat. This post is a problem because they do not give a reference to where to position the floor. Also, there are manufacturing defects with the guide in the front on the bottom side of the boat. Additionally, the taping on the bottom side of the boat is very narrow as compared to other brands. Please do your diligence before purchasing this boat. ... show more

  • Just get out there!
Easy to inflate. Side chambers first then the floor. Requires some effort. I got an electric pump but in the end the hand pump is faster and less NOISY. Stable and easy to paddle. Tracks straight with the detachable fin. Easy to fold and pack away. Easy to clean. The floor is removable for cleaning. Re-insterting the floor takes some patience - 5 mins. Some complain the floor is too short. It's not. Centering the drop stitch floor inside the boat is easy. Simply line up the center line with the middle of the side handles on the boat. Makes sense right? It's worth investing some time to rinse and dry the boat before storage. It will last longer. This is a safe boat for flat water paddling. Pro tip. Get a paddle leash. If you fall out in fast water you'll stay connected to the boat if you hold onto the paddle! My boat hasn't any quality control issues. If something isn't quite perfect - who cares. Just get out there! ... show more

  • Questionable Quality Control
We bought 2 of these beautiful floaters. I wouldn't really call these "kayaks" for a few reasons: the seats are horribly uncomfortable and not stout enough to support either of us for a 4-hour river trip; quality control missed a key fitting check, resulting in rapid air loss during the first test inflation; being an inflatable, it required that air be added all around (3 inflation ports) twice during our first four-hour river run. The seat backs simply fail to support our backs - everything stretches and everything sags so horribly, that we both found ourselves prone by the end of the trip. Paddling is more like boat rowing because of the high billowing sides. So while they make great photos, they do not perform like a real kayak. And QC missing the improperly installed port system on the right tube was inexcusable. We'll probably sell these and shop a little more carefully. ... show more

  • Hardshell who?
TL;DR This kayak is extremely stable on the water, has a decent amount of room for storage, and is fast enough for an inflatable kayak. Now onto the full length review... Firstly, I purchased this kayak from Aquaglide’s website. I bought this kayak as an upgrade from my super cheap inflatable kayak (I’m sure you can guess which one I’m talking about). I was looking for a vessel that was stable, fast, durable, portable, and had enough room for multi-day trips. After many days of extensive research I ended up deciding on this kayak for multiple reasons: Its included drop stitch floor, ease of setup, paddle holders, rear storage hatch, upper deck bungee storage and the foam cushioned seat. I found that other branded kayaks with similar features typically ran a bit more expensive which is what ultimately led me to this decision. Performance-wise this kayak was impressive. The drop-stitch floor is wickedly stable. It reminds me of a SUP and if necessary one could easily stand up on this kayak’s high pressure floor. I have attached a trip summary from a recent outing which highlights the avg. speed and pace that I was able to achieve. I have only been paddling since the beginning of this summer so I would consider myself a beginner, but after learning basic technique you can really get this thing to move. This kayak tracks well when proper paddling technique is applied, but you will still notice slight movement with hard paddling. Overall, for an inflatable kayak there isn’t much more I could ask for when it comes to performance. Durability. I have taken this kayak out 6 times this past month and I haven’t noticed any signs of failure or damage that could lead to failure in the future. I have been extra cautious in and out of the water, but I have had a few accidents in which it was scraped by rocks without any sign of damage. I would like to say that my kayak was shipped with markings similar to another review here (small scuffs and scratches), but after inspection I determined they would not be problematic and were merely cosmetic blemishes. Overall, the material that this kayak is made of makes me feel confident in the water and honestly that’s all that matters. Setup. I have had the chance to use other competitors inflatable kayaks and I can easily say that this kayak is much more straightforward and easy to setup. With only three main chambers there isn’t much to it. I will say that the HR valve for the floor takes some finesse to remove the adapter after inflation. It still takes me a couple tries to remove the floor adapter without leaving the HR valve open causing the floor to depressurize. Even so, setup takes me roughly 5-10 minutes. Overall, this kayak is everything that I could want in a portable package. If there are any other questions please feel free to comment. ... show more
