  • great for fishing and lake kayaking
Pattern Name: Kayak
I used this kayak for river kayaking, and it was fun and felt great on the water. There is plenty of storage space, or space for your dog, if they like to come along for a paddle. I really wouldn't buy it again for river only kayaking and the only reason for my saying that is simply its weight. This is a very substantial boat, which is totally a good thing, but I'll keep it around for lake kayaking with my dog where there is a boat launch made of concrete. The wheel at the end of the skeg really will be helpful there. Where I fell apart was at the end of the river run, paddling for 6 hours, the 78 pounds felt brutal to get carried up the steep, rocky slope I was needing to use. Having learned that lesson, I went the next day and found something that rings an at 36 pounds, more appropriate for its intended use. So I got another kayak around and I'm not mad about it. Great kayak and great quality, but if you like mostly river kayaking, this one may not be for you. I do not fish, so I can't rate its angling features. Others have complained about delivery disasters but I can report mine went fine and the boat arrived in good shape. ... show more

  • Delivery is a disaster, but it is a superb yak!
Pattern Name: Kayak
The delivery was a disgrace. Left a beaten up, mostly unpacked, scraped up new boat on our driveway. Looks like someone just dropped it and dragged it on the concrete. I understand that it is heavy, but why even remove from the package if it was not damaged? Otherwise, it looks like a nice yak.... Follow-up: The boat is fantastic! Handles well, extremely comfortable, super sturdy, all superlatives thus far. Unfortunately, while out on the water the whole skeg wheel assembly fell of and is lost somewhere in the lake. While we are within the return window, I would prefer to keep the kayak (and not return it), but I was very much hoping that you could send me a replacement skeg wheel assembly. Would that be a possibility? ... show more

  • Great for price.
Pattern Name: Kayak
This Kayak is awesome for the price. It’s sturdy and stable and very roomy. Do not buy this expecting it to be comparable to an Old Town or other higher price point yaks but if you want something stable and your a bigger guy I don’t think you can do better than this yak for under a grand.

  • Sturdy and great for tall people
Pattern Name: Kayak
I got this for my husband for his birthday. He really likes it. He says it's sturdy and comfortable. It's not too heavy. But more helpful to have 2 people unloading from a high up area.

  • Overall nice kayak
Pattern Name: Kayak
Pros: Tri hull tracks well Easy to load and launch (has built in bottom pully) Pull strap for standing up Storage Cons: Seat pops out of brackets and adjustment No drink holder I’ve taken it out a few times and like it overall. The seat needs to be better thought out. The mesh straps come apart easy. I don’t use the fishing pole holders as I fly fish and with my reel all the way back, I cannot use the holder sockets. Really tracks well even in rough water. I have a better angler kayak, but this one is a good one for a spare or for guests if even used for recreation. ... show more

  • Very Good Kayak
Pattern Name: Kayak
Great kayak. Arrived with no damage; only a missing hatch hook which I am sure Lifetime will replace. The stand-assist strap is very helpful for this older guy with crappy knees! Delivery was on time, even early in the morning. Edit 06/22 - Be careful of how much you intend to rely on the skeg wheel. It's great when the kayak is empty, but difficult to balance with a loaded boat. I highly advise getting a kayak trolley for easy transport of a loaded boat. ... show more
