  • Great investment/Fishing yak
Pattern Name: Kayak
Hard to evaluate durability because I've only had it for a couple weeks but it is well built and should hold up over time. Due to the well built nature of the kayak it is heavy which I guess lends itself to stability in the water but if you plan to carry this very far keep that in mind. All the reason I bought this particular kayak are great. The raised web strap seat is comfortable. Getting in and out is easier than my old sit in style yak. The added benefits is your arms in a better position to to work lures while fishing and this is the primary reason I bought this model. The paddle holder/strap is great and easy to use. (Buy a longer paddle - I got a 98" Pelican b/c of the wider base of a sit on yak and the higher seat made using my shorter sit in yak's paddle difficult). The rod holders are great and accessible from the seated position, I've already used the ruler that is built into the boat deck. All in all its stable and a great fishing platform. I am 5'11" and 225 lbs and I feel very safe while using this yak. I did notice that it doesn't track quite as well as my older yak but I am not sure if its the hull design or my paddle technique, but I use it primarily on the 20 Acre lake behind my house, so I don't go that far with it and it's not really a problem. ... show more

  • Decent boats but Lifetime QA needs work
Pattern Name: Kayak
Bought two, and they seem like they’ll be decent recreational kayaks for the price. I wasn’t expecting high quality and got just about what expected. Lifetime has some Quality Assurance work to do, however. One of the foot braces wasn’t attached—it was just floating loose in the packaging. Easy enough to get screws and attach it, but I shouldn’t have to do that, no matter the price paid. And each of the boats had pieces of plastic rattling around inside the hulls from when the various hatches were saw-cut. Also lots of small plastic shavings inside the hulls. Come on, Lifetime: you can do a cleaner job. Update: Lifetime was quick to respond to my request to send me the hardware needed to mount the foot rest. However, it’s attached using rivets so I need to go buy a pop rivet gun for $20 to insert the three rivets. I may never use the rivet gun again, or I may decide to start riveting a bunch of stuff just because now I can. ... show more

  • Lifetime sucks
Pattern Name: Kayak
Lifetime is so ridiculously greedy, how pathetic. Charged me $250 additional for each Kayak (2- total) for delivery. Walked into a lifetime store in Boise to discover the correct price. Buyer beware…my mistake for trusting them, trying to help others from the same mistake.

  • Great kayak
Pattern Name: Kayak
I absolutely love this kayak and the seat is so comfortable for those long floats on the river.

  • versatile
Pattern Name: Kayak
great recreational kayak - heavy, but durable for lakes and bigger rivers. Had it for over a year and going strong with no issues. Bought it for myself, but too heavy to carry, transport alone (just turned 50). My husband now kayaks with me so he uses the Lifetime and I bought a lighter cheap kayak for us to go together and also for me to use when I go with my girlfriends. I think it works great for my husband who 6ft appx 260#. Roomy and seat is comfortable. Great intro fishing kayak to see if kayak fishing is for you too before buying a real expensive one. ... show more

  • Great value for the price
Pattern Name: Kayak
For me this is an upgrade from the Lifetime Tamarack 10 foot, the seat and the adjustable foot pads make it much more comfortable than the earlier model. Stability (very good) is the same as it’s the same hull design and the tracking is super, great craft for fishing. Addition of the accessory track is also a big plus, as is the removable basket in the front hatch. Comparable to kayaks twice this price. ... show more

  • Very nice Kayak
Pattern Name: Kayak
This kayak is very nice and comfortable . Maybe a little heavy for one person to carry, but easy for two to carry to the waters edge. Nice storage areas.
