I purchased this back brace to help with my posture and I could not be more happy with my purchase. I work as a nurse and I do not have the best posture. I am always moving and lifting things and when I sit at my computer to chart I slouch. This brace helps me improve my posture and relieves pressure on my back, neck and shoulders. I ordered a TLSO brace, but shipping was going to take too long, so I ordered this to try in the interim. I suffered a compression fracture of my T5, which healed wrong, causing a deformity and also taking 2" off my anterior height. It's very painful for me to both stand and walk, and often to even sit, so I had to have something. This isn't quite supportive enough for MY injury, but it does help quite a bit and is the most supportive of any other brand of this type that I've tried. Most thoracic fractures are T12 or lower, so my T5 fracture is very uncommon. Thus, I don't think there's anything negative about this brace at all. As I said, it's the best of any brand I've tried, and I think it's because it has two long metal strips going down the back and two shorter ones along the sides, offering much more support. That may make it sound uncomfortable, but it amazingly isn't at all. It also doesn't require someone else to help you put it on after it's been adjusted to your personal fit either, which most rigid TLSO braces do. I think Fit Geno put a lot more thought into the design of this brace than other companies. Most just have thicker material or magnets and neither type was of benefit to me. I had to walk a good distance from street parking on another block to my doctor and PT appointments just a few days ago. Normally, I would've been in terrible pain before even getting there, but this brace made a huge difference. Normally, I wouldn't be able to sit in a regular chair afterward either because the pain would be so bad that I had to lie down, but my pain was greatly reduced and made it possible to sit without the pain becoming any worse. This brace is pretty decent for me, so it may be perfect for people with different injuries. If your injury is farther down than the T5, since that is not common at all, this may work just fine for you. I'd recommend giving it a shot, as it is much less expensive than the rigid TLSO braces, and much more comfortable, too! This isn't labeled as a TLSO brace, so I'm not trying to say that it is. I'm just saying that it's a pretty good substitute for one, and you may not even require that type of brace, so I would recommend it over any other brands that are labeled to do the same as this one. My injury is very uncommon in its location and not correctable since it healed wrong. If those two things don't apply to you, then save yourself the time and trouble of ordering and having to return the wrong brace and just order this brace, period. Good luck. First of all this product came nicely packaged which i appreciate. Now to the actual function of it, it does work very well with straightening out my posture. I got this because I have HORRIBLE posture always slouching my back looked like a C not even kidding. At work It got to the point where my back was starting to ache and crunch so bad and I’m only 20 🥲 I got this to hopefully eliminate that, and let me say it did not disappoint. As seen in the photos my back is no longer slouched like a C and it keeps my shoulders back nicely. The different tightening straps help secure it in places that’s perfect for you. I don’t find myself slouching like I used to, in fact it makes slouching feel uncomfortable and I’m not complaining about that haha. I do have to say, DEFINITELY wear this over an undershirt or something bc it will give you a little friction rash. ... show more

I have never written a review so this means something! Long story short, a couple years ago I suffered 5 compression fractures in my spine and had to be in a full neck and back brace for almost 4 months. I deal with chronic back pain every day. I work at a hospital where I am constantly walking around on every floor. I would go home crying because of how much pain I was in at the end of the day. This Brace relieves so much pressure off my back. It actually made me cry how much this worked!! I would buy it again and again. For context I hurt my back in a car accident a few years back, compression fractures, and although it’s healed, I still get pain in my upper and lower back mostly due to work. I work in radiology and wear a lead apron for hours on end while scrubbed in to procedures. My shoulders feel rolled forward and it seemed like I was actually leaning forward when I walked due to the pain. My coworker purchased this first and she seemed to like it so I bought one too. It’s pretty easy to put on. Sometimes I have to look for a strap though. It feels nice to have my shoulders pulled back and my back straightened The only thing I don’t care for is when I tighten the shoulder straps the body part rides up and isn’t around my lower abd anymore.
