I already had a pair of magnet cleaners that I thought were designed for the 1/2" glass on my 120 gallon aquarium, but they did a marginal job on the soft algae and barely touched the dark green algae spots at all. Strong is definitely something you want out of a scrubber. With all my common built aquariums,Petco aquariums PetSmart, the more readily available aquariums. This magnet works just fine. Thicker glass it still sticks but doesn't have much power for getting the job done. None the less on my smaller aquariums this little unit can clean, with all the accessories to attach to it you can toss that old basic scrubber out. ... show more

Cleaning a turtle tank is not fun. Scrubbing the grime off of the sides is a big job. This scrapper/scrubber helped cut the time in half if not more. The magnet is very strong. I accidentally stuck the magnets together with nothing between it and let’s just say it took a while and a butter knife to get them apart. Always be sure to put cardboard between the 2 pieces if you store them together! The plastic scraper was more than enough to get the calcium off of the walls and the scrubber pad cleaned up all the algae off of the walls with ease. I can’t speak to the metal blade as I didn’t use it, but I see no reason it wouldn’t excel. The handle is weighted and feels nice and sturdy in the hand ... show more

Seems close to the hygger brush but the magnet is significantly weaker so the can’t scrub as well. It also isn’t a good solution for a bow front tank.

Absolute junk. I have used several other class cleaner/scraper options over 20 years and all of them are better. The magnetic grip is so light it could not even clean the lightest issues. Do not buy this.
