I rated this 5 star because the product came as described and made cleaning a 150+ gallon so much easier! Literally! Initially, I was looking at this product for quite some time but was scared to purchase. I had purchased a product similar to this before but it didn't work as well as this one. Before, my husband and I, would clean the tank the "really" old fashion way where we'd use buckets to fill the tank. Imagine doing this to a 150+ tank. Took us forever! Now, water changes are a little less than an hour with prep work involved. Cons: Not enough of a vacuum pull that I'd like to see, in order to siphon poop out but does the job. Pros: Easy to assemble Multiple ways to attach to faucet or hose Easy to clean Can take water out of the tank quickly and fill the tank quickly Worth paying for EDIT: After some time using the product, it does make water changes easier however, I wished the suction was a little more powerful. This contraption actually works quite well. After I found an adapter that would work with my sink, I was in business. Turn the sink water on, put siphon in tank and boom - sucked out about 30 gallons in 10-15 minutes. The suction is not super strong, but enough to suck up debris off the bottom. Reverse the switch and fresh water flowed back into tank. Moved 60 gallons of water total in about 30 minutes while I watched! Gone are the days of slinging buckets around. Hoping it will last though since it's mostly plastic parts. I did raise the hose up a few feet to get a better siphon and level with tank top to help with volume and speed. ... show more

This product is a game changer. Made doing a water change a breeze. I needed & appreciated the long hose. Only problem is that the plastic connection to the faucet cracked after one use. I've tried mending it the best I can & hope it will last. Didn't use the product until my return limit was up so that's why I wasn't able to return it. Only rating it 3 starts because it was only really good for filling. It comes with many adapters but none of them fit on any water source/pipe in my apartment so I had to go find and buy another connected for their connectors. I live in the third floor of an old building so maybe my water pressure is terrible but that was the science behind the draining and cleaning use of this tool and that did not work at all for me. Assembly was fine and after I found a connect that worked for my shower, installation was fine too. Even filled my tank quite fast but after finding out it couldn’t draining, I sat with a 75 gallon tank until I could figure out a solution ... show more

I have had multiple arm and shoulder surgeries and I thought that was the end of being able to take care of my 55 gallon aquarium. BUT! I hooked this up to the sink, put the vacuum wand in, took 25% of the water out, flipped the lever on the sink and wand. Flipped the levers the opposite direction and it fills back up. How easy is that?! Definitely worth the price! I only have one negative, the attachment to the sink is plastic and didn't last a year. Thankfully, the replacement piece is well priced and easy to install. I'm extremely thankful that I can continue my aquarium hobby without hurting myself. You can't go wrong... ... show more
