  • Solid Build ,,, need better description page .
AS said a solid guitar, I can't believe the price (inexpensive) and the build quality. I've been playing and building guitars, amps, pedals for 40 yrs or more and IMO ya can't go wrong with this piece. Just remember your specs. For myself I've never liked the SG my brother was a Gibson player although I do own a Gibson Les Paul. This gitter plays nice I mean it's a sweet piece. Everything was almost spot on I didn't have to do anything as it was playable out the box some adjustments would have been made if. But if never came to it. And as you can see in the pics the CO cares what they're doing. Just look at the neck joint, very nice gentlemen. The nut was cut well (43mm spec). And the neck and fret job was beautiful as you can see ( keep in mind this a 43mm nut and neck profile is a deep D - chunky) . I do hope the pics come through. And the control cavity very tidy with full size pots ta boot. The pups were a bit squealy though, that would need to be addressed. All was great BUT the colour, lol, ya made a young girl cry Firefly, lol. The problem I ran into with this guitar was the colour description. This is in no way any shade of PINK lol or Quilted. I had bought this for a female relative a 16yr old young lady, lol. She can jam quite impressively, I sometimes take the back seat when we play. These kids and youtube don't know how good they got it. But she is a natural took to it really young with me and my brothers so she had access to quality equipment all her life be it Fender or Gibson and gear that is road worthy. OK now the problem, up until today 10/22/22 this guitar's description had several incarnations from 7 string, Grey, Flamed Grey, Quilted and so on. It's a beautiful shade of copper and I am a painter so. Well since I didn't want to throw the spare couple $ G's in my pocket at the custom shop lmao I figured let me show her this. I know the picture is poor quality on Amazon I thought for sure it would be close because Firefly has been making their presence known for quality and CS. Hey guys at Firefly ya made my niece CRY 😢 lol. Yep you made a little girl cry, shame on ya lol. Just kidding guys I know how it is with costumer service. I forgive ya ok. I did opt for a return only because I don't like the SG style. And it was holiday present for someone special. All in all a very nice axe and would recommend it no prob 👍✌ ... ... show more

  • Love it
This is my second firefly, and my first LG/SG body style. Firefly has a great reputation, but others have complained about issues with the finish, tuners, bindings, etc. This guitar is best-in-class, and I'm challenged to find any flaws with the body. As others mention, the pickups are very microphonic (especially noticeable when tapping with a pick), but it's not something that interferes with my playing. It plays as good as it looks, and for the $160 price tag, I feel as if I've stolen the guitar—it's that good. ... show more

  • 7 strings for only $200??
A hollowbody 7 string for under $200? Build quality is very good. As with all Firefly's, it's Epiphone quality. Finish is overly thick, with nothing terribly special about it. Binding and inlay work is clean. The top is VERY thick, so don't expect much in the way of acoustic projection. Neck is bound with rounded fret ends... No sprout or scratchy tangs to be found. Frets are level with no dead spots. Neck is wide and thin with thick gloss. Plastic nut on the guitar - and not a good one. The ugly on this guitar is the hardware... Tuning machines are not very good. Between them and the plastic nut there's a lot of binding when tuning. Pickups are shrill and lifeless. A low output humbucker in the bridge is paired with a high output humbucker in the neck. They work, and they're very OK, but you're not going to record an album with these. Cheap stop-tail and bridge. Passable wiring with the cheapest parts available. Guitar was extremely well packaged in a box with form fitting styro all the way around. Excellent for a Chinese brand. Setup out of the box was surprisingly good. Needed a slight bit of bow put into the neck via the truss rod, but was low and intonated. Considering how many time zones it crossed to get to me, very acceptable. For a $200 guitar, an awesome beginner 7 string. If you tinker, a great upgrade platform. I'm happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Looks great butttttt !!!
Only thing is it had uneven frets . Other than that the inlays were done nicely, no fret sprout . A great looking guitar. I did send it back because of the uneven frets. The seller was very easy to work with and sent a full refund. Lastly I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with small or short fingers. ... show more

  • Not all that.
Grey Burst has drips in the paint on body. From the neck to the bottom. This sucks However it is solid and well-built and sounds Sweet. I am going to keep it.
