  • Great value - Don't put it off as long as I did!
Super easy to use transport set up and does not use very much fuel considering. Cheaper than the price of firewood. You can see it makes a nice size fire! It seems like every time we go camping there's a fire ban. But you can usually have a propane fire so I wish we'd got this a long time ago!

  • Great little heater
This is small enough to fit into my campers storage when not in use (must fold in legs). This runs about 8 to 10 hours on one 20 lb propane tank (the ones you swap at home depot or wal-mart). It puts out enough heat to keep a small circle of people warm. Most evenings my wife and I will sit outside the camper and watch a movie, this heater will sit between us and keep both of us warm, sometimes too warm and we have to switch sides to let the one closest to the fire cool down and warm the other side up :-) It is sturdy enough that I believe under normal use and kept from the elements (ie: leaving it outside in the rain when not in use or letting water sit in the fire bowl), it will last for a long time. My wife loves the design and looks of it, we often get compliments on it from neighboring campers. ... show more

  • Compact, Attractive, and functional.
I had been looking to get a portable gas fire pit to take with us on camping trips so I would not need to carry (illegal in some locations) wood or purchase it at an exorbitant rate at the campground. Assembly was less complicated than the instructions indicated as some parts were already assembled. It did not take long to assemble this and test it. I advise checking all connections for tightness. The hose attachment had a small leak which was fixed by tightening the connection. The flame is adjustable. On low, it puuts out a nice amount of heat and should be attractive to sit around on a warm summer evening. On high, it can put out a lot of heat at the cost of higher propane use. One does have the ability to ajust the level to one's own choosing. I had considered a Camco Little Red Campfire but purchased this instead because it is also relatively compact and because it is much less expensive. I just need to get a carrying bag for it to protect it while traveling. I think it will be durable if I take care not to leave it out in the weather when it is not being used. ... show more

  • Compact and amazing
First time trying this out and it is great. Cooler day and this hit the spot. My husband put together in no time. Produces wonderful heat. Many people at the campsite are burning wood which is fun but brings smoke into the RV. No smell and cleanπŸ‘πŸ»

  • Great for the RV
This little gas fire pit is great for the RV. It put out sufficient warmth, and the flames playing over the included lava rocks are relaxing. The grandkids enjoy toasting marshmallows making smores over the flames. I have a 12' hose with a quick coupling that I can connect the fire pit to my RV's external gas connection that allows me to place it right in the middle of the party. The ignition system is in the temperature control, which is an interesting concept. ... show more

  • Perfect Size
I purchased this because of the folding legs due to space limitations in the motorhome but I was very impressed with range of the flames. People who have other gas fire pits saw it in operation always tell us that it has a better output than any other. Remember to double check the connections when you get it and after you have been on the road with it, road vibrations can do funny things. If you maintain it with high temperature grill paint it will last for years. ... show more

  • Possibly one of the best things I bought for camping
Dealing with burn bans? Fire pit at the campsite is in bad location, poorly maintained, or full of mud/trash? Trouble keeping your firewood dry? Trouble making kindlin and starting your campfire? This fire pit is seconds to light, seconds to extinguish, self-contained and easy to transport with the sturdy latches and handle on the lid. It may consumer a bit of propane if you're spending 4-6 hours around a campfire for 3-5 nights; but at about $1/lb of propane, it's still cheaper and easier to use propane than deal with $7 small bundles of firewood from gas stations and park rangers giving you a hard time about transporting firewood. No need to keep a shovel and water on hand, simply turn the fire pit off and go to bed. The only gripe I have about it, is that you start the fire pit with the knob on HIGH which sometimes causes the firepit to flare up instantly and could lose some arm hair.....still really safe, just wish you could ignite it on low setting ... show more

  • Great heat, super portable. No firewood needed anymore
My brother purchased this item, at first I laughed at him then he turned it on. Oh my God, the flame is good size and puts out a lot of heat and is fully adjustable to the size of flame and heat output that you want or need. Folds up nicely with its lockable cover so it it very portable. I had to get one for myself to use at home or take to my camper. (He still ribs me about buying one.)Great product, I also have another friend who saw it and had to buy one also. No more need to carry firewood and put out your fire, just turn off the gas and your done. Great for areas with burn bans. ... show more
