It’s a little tricky putting together this is what I discovered. Follow the directions but you’ll need a pair of vice grips to pull the seams together when you tighten the screws. Also added logic washer, which is not supplied on the top for the handle otherwise, the small wash looks like it has the tendency to stay centered . I would buy it again! ... show more

Cage fits fine, and it's durable enough. Only thing is that during the first use, the paint coat would bubble up, catch on fire and plume black smoke. Now it's been a month and it's rusty. Almost wondering if seasoning it like castiron would make it better. He said it was a slight pain, mostly due to the tiny screws and the fact many didn’t fit into the corresponding holes. In fact he had to leave two totally off the screen. Loved that it also came with all the tools to assemble and also came with a foldable firepit opener which is quite nice. (Assembly was about 7 minutes long and quite easy. Buyer beware - this screen rusted in just a couple of months after a few rains. We live in Arizona so rain is rare. Even so, within 3 months, this screen is totally rusted. Of course we are past the two month return window and did at save the packaging. Hopefully this will prevent others from purchasing this product. Next time I’ll be sure to check that the screen has been treated to protect against rust! ... show more

People are right - this can be a pain to put together on your own. The thin edges where you need to screw the shields together leave barely any room for your hands or the tools. It took me about a half hour, but I still think it’s a decent quality shield for the price. It looks good and fits my fire pit perfectly. I would buy it again. ... show more
