  • My Favorite Kindle EVAR!!
Color: Gray
I have been curious about the Scribe for a while but the price and lack of some functionality kept me from pulling the trigger. The Remarkable 2 is too much for me personally and isn't a dual function device like the Scribe. I grabbed the Scribe discounted to $279 and don't regret a thing. The software updates have added a lot of capability and the writing experience is SOOO much better than glass tablets. I love my s-pen but the Scribe wih a upgraded stylus is a totally different experience. The extra texture and resistance of the e-ink screen feels so much more natural and the processing makes my hand writing look better than paper. There are a good amount templates for notes and I was able to add 200 PDF templates from the web for $30 which has made the Scribe my go to device for client consultation notes, lecture prep, and meetings. I even journal in it now not a moleskin. The ability to add notes to academic or business books is great for prepping for class lectures or client presentations. Especially if the book is a write in the margins file, most you have a small icon to click to see your note kinda like a comment in Excel. The built in Kindle dictionary is always nice. However, the Wikipedia integration has been a game changer. Highlight an unfamiliar author in a footnote or citation and get a quick summary or go to the full wiki and learn more. U can email PDF to mark up if you like, but it's not as easy and has less options than doing that on my S9 so i rarely use the function. Would having cloud upload to one drive or google drive or box etc... be nice YES hopefully it is coming soon. Now you email any Notes to a set address or enter one. Not terrible but feels a bit 1990s. Emailing files to yourself. If Amazon doesnt want to access MS, Google, or Apple at least give us Box or Dropbox please. Back to the Wikipedia I didn't give this feature a thought and it may be my favorite. With a couple more software upgrades (cloud uploading & better organization of folders) the writing experience will be amazing. The navigation is pure Kindle and the bookstore massive audible is available with BT for people that consume books that way. The screen is Devine text is clear and bright and everything looks great. The larger screen is a huge help with scholarly or professional books and us over 45 folks can read the screen no glasses and more than 12 words on a page. The machine is thin light and feels great in the hand a wider bezel to one side helps balance holding the reader one hnded but I find I use two usually. I still have an older paper-white for easy carrying but I really miss the 10.2 inches when I go back. This device continues to improve and is my favorite e-reader and note taking device by far. It ability to let you learn about sourcing and unknown terminology is fantastic. The screen, content store, and build quality top notch. Best of all batterylife is ridiculous. I think I have charged mine once in al,most two months, e-ink for the win. You can read outdoors but stay away from, the pool and maybe take an old Kindle to the beach I don't think the Scribe is water or dust rated but could be wrong so check that if it's critical to you. In love my Scribe it is the first gadget In a long time to really change how I work and learn. With a few more tweaks Amazon will have a near perfect device for students, academics, professionals, or just book lovers. Couldn't recommend more highly!! ... show more

  • Buy This!!!
Color: library
This case is fabulous! My new Kindle Scribe nestles inside it perfectly. It is very secure and did not fall out when I vigorously jogged, jiggled, and dropped it from a height of 5 feet onto a wood floor. The hole for the charging plug is properly placed, and the cover protects the other button when it is closed, yet allows you to easily access it when opened. The magnetic clasp is strong and consistently turns the Scribe on and off when open and closed. The case allows for the pen to magnetically attach as usual, but there is also a fabric loop at the top that stretches to hold it securely in place if you are looking for added security. I wish that the loop was on the side so that the pen could have the combined protection of the loop and the magnetic attachment at the same time, but it's not really an issue. The case itself is very slim and lightweight but still substantial and provides excellent protection for such an expensive piece of electronic equipment. Considering the fact that it is significantly less than the other Scribe covers that are currently available, I highly recommend this item. ... show more

  • I really like this case. Updated
Color: library
Looks nice, unique, and it fits the Kindle Scribe perfectly. When you close the cover, it puts the Scribe to sleep, and when you open it just enter your passcode, no need to press the power button. It has a pen holder on the top of the case, which to me seems better than attaching it magnetically on the side. It's a great alternative to the original Scribe cover. It has an opening to access the charging port and an opening that show the status light. I really like the image on the cover, it reminds me of my old bookcases. I’ve experienced one negative issue with this case. The little magnetic pins come out and lucky cling to the cover, if not I would have lost them. I still like the especially the design on the cover. I will most like put a drop of gorilla glue in the slot where the pin go, so they will stop coming out of the slot and attaching to the cover when I open the device. ... show more

  • Sturdy and cute
Color: composition book
The case adds a bit of weight to my scribe but that's okay because it's sturdy and so far, no issues.

  • Fits perfectly!
Color: Black
I panicked when I opened package and noticed only 1 medium size opening on the side (USC-C) and smaller one for the display light. I didn’t see an opening for power button and immediately thought this case is defected. All good. SMH. Nice feel to it. Adds a bit of weight. At least it seems like it to me. Pen holder nicely placed and holds well. I like Fintie products. I purchased one for my Kindle Oasis. First generation and still in perfect condition. Great products for the money. ... show more

  • Fits perfectly
Color: lilac marble
It fits perfectly with little effort to put it on the scribe. The color is exactly what I expected based on the picture. It’s just as easy to remove as it is to put on.

  • Looks great but fragile
Color: composition book
This looks so fantastic! Everybody thinks it's actually a notebook. But it's a little bit brittle. I have had it for 5 months and use it about twice a week. The area where the magnets are located cracked early on but the case was still working well. But recently the plastic on the edge broke off completely. ... show more

  • Very cute and deceptive!
Color: composition book
I purchased this as a gift for my husband. He absolutely loves it. It's very cute and works wonderfully for a studious environment. I've even mistaken it for a notebook a couple times. It also keeps the Kindle well protected and has nice features, such as auto screen turn off/on as you open and close it, and a pen holder ... show more
