This is a good case, and I recommend it. I especially like that it’s an “envelope” style, so I feel like my Kindle is better protected, in that it can’t fall out the way it sometimes happens with the snap-in style cases. The sleep function works well when I close it, and it’s small and light, but substantial enough that it provides good protection. It was also reasonably priced. I have the lavender one with the marble-looking pattern. I wanted the brown leather-look one, but this one was on sale during Prime Days and had next day delivery so it arrived with my new kindle. The media could not be loaded. I recently got this kindle cover. I love how it looks, the front embossed design looks well made. The faux leather/vinyl looks of good quality and sturdy. It keeps the kindle in place and provides good protection. However, it does add bulk and weight to the device. I didn’t liked how it feels when it’s folded in half, it felt too bulky to handle with one hand comfortably ( I mostly I’ve been using it book style). Even though It’s not as thick or heavy as most books, after a couple of hours you start to feel the weight predominantly in one side. I’m not sure if I’ll keep it for an everyday use while I’m at home, but I loved the case for traveling. The extra bulkiness provides extra protection on the front/back while being in my purse/backpack. ... show more

This is coming from someone who has been using the OG first gen Kindle all this time. That form factor is something I'm very used to, most notably the case. The first gen case is very booklike, with the spine running the full length of the cover. It works. And now that I'm on the Kindle 11, I found that many/most of the cases are lacking that full length spine. They also tend toward the overly slim. Now while I appreciate that the Kindle 11 is smaller and lighter, I also think there's such a thing as TOO thin. So this case really addresses my opinions. The spine is full length, and there's enough size to it where I can get a more comfortable grip on it. The design is interesting without being obnoxious. A folio-style is also a big plus in my opinion, with the overall construction having top marks. A great case. Love it. ... show more

I only used Fintie covers on my old Fire tablet so when I bought my new Kindle this is the brand I wanted for it. This cover fits nicely, the material feels good in your hands, easy to put on. I like that the entire cover is soft and the Kindle slips into it, not some hard snap-on back like some other brands. You secure it in place with a Velcro tab. The magnets in the cover are plenty strong. I have been known to fall asleep while reading in bed and having my device fall onto the floor. My Fintie cover has always protected my Kindle. Pros: - feels like leather, the embossing adds a nice texture - color looks rich, very aged leather-like - feels very sturdy and like the covers can take some impact to the centers without damaging what’s inside. - at first it seemed overly thick (I thought it would be thinner) but after handling it awhile it is easy to grip and feels more like a slim pocket-sized book. -no strong/unpleasant odors like some PU have - Buttons and functions are all easy to reach, no obstructions. Time will tell: - the shape was a little wonky when I first added the kindle, so the magnetic clasp wasn’t very secure. After keeping it folded a while, it seems to be reshaping itself, so maybe the shipping foam and the Velcro closure that goes under the device along the “spine” just needed to reshape a bit. From the “spine” edge, it still looks a little curved, like a book that has been warped in the middle, but the magnet is holding better and the covers line up everywhere. - the inside layer is a kind of velveteen, perfectly fine for the interior. But the covers are two layers, and the velveteen layer is wrapped around the edge like a separate layer, flush with the outer layer. I’ll be curious to see how well it holds up -especially the corners - with regular use; carrying it around, I’m not sure how durable those edges will be. I added a little bit of personal flair with the decoration on the front, but I can honestly say that this is a fantastic product. Performance: it’s honestly holding up beautifully and successfully performed its job. Numerous drops and no dings or scuffs. Weight: It really doesn’t have much weight to it. Especially not heavy enough to raise any brows. Value for money: The value is there. Low price for a long term investment. Sturdy and solid. Portability: it’s not bulky or distracting.
