This is a very small, very lightweight camera. It's done the job I really wanted it for, which is to take casual snapshots of a family vacation. It does not focus very well at close range (within 6-8" or so); you can eventually get it to do so, but it takes multiple tries. There is no lens cover, just a tiny pinprick of an aperture; I don't know what I'll do if the lens gets dirty, but it just might not, since the opening is SO tiny. You definitely want to protect it with a sleeve or glasses case or something if you throw it in your purse or pocket. I love that it takes a regular memory card (which it came with) rather than a micro card, and that the battery (which it also came with) can be recharged via a USB cord directly to the camera, rather than having to take the battery out to recharge. The camera does not feel very sturdy, and the side that pops open to access the battery and memory card is operated by a tiny lever that you slide back and forth. It doesn't seem very reliable, and I'm kind of expecting that it will stop being effective at keeping the case closed, but it's worked so far (about a month). It's also a little tight getting the battery and memory card in and out, but for a $35 camera that's a pretty minor complaint. Overall, I think this was well worth the money. ... show more

I had 3-4 digital cameras as a kid / teenager in the mid-2000s which were slightly pricier, but good quality. Imagine my surprise when I got this camera and realized how useless it is, I truly would've never imagined that a digital camera in 2024 could be so bad. The quality is terrible, the buttons look like they are about to fall off, it's just really bad. I wouldn't even gift to a child, phone cameras are better quality than this. ... show more

    • Great Product for Kids, Not So Much for Adults

I bought this without knowing for sure whether I would use it as my "don't care if it gets lost on my travels" backup camera or a fancy toy for my kids, but it's definitely better suited to the latter. The camera is so light it's almost surreal, when I opened it I thought something was wrong - my last point-and-shoot weighed 4-5x this amount in the same size body. But that also means it's pretty flimsy and probably won't hold up long. The features are not intuitive to use and I find the Zoom a bit clunky/slow to respond. It's not hard to extract pictures to your PC (which is what I most wanted) so that's nice, but the lens doesn't focus quickly and the screen itself seems cheap. Overall I'm glad to have it but it's going to be a better match for my daughters to play with than for me to use for any image or video I'd want for posterity. ... show more
