Mounted this on an AR-9 braced pistol. I have a set of flip-up iron sights on the pistol, as well. This sight, with the red/green option, makes for a nice, easy-to-use and accurate setup. Seems well built and very easy to operate. Used it twice so far and I am happy I got it. I have Vortex SPARC's on my 2 rifles chambered in 5.56 and this sight seems to be a great option for those wanting a higher-end sight but cannot afford to pay $200 for one. I plan to put this on one of my 5.56 rifles and run it through some paces to see how it holds up. I will follow up on this review in the future with those results. ... show more

I am pleased with the quality of this red dot sight for the money! There is minimal degradation of clear vision through the glass, the glass is surprisingly clear with minimal tint and deflection. The adjustments are crisp and accurate, making this red/green dot very easy to get zeroed. I have around 400 rounds through my AK-47 (7.62x39-.311) and so far the sight has operated very well and is holding zero. Traditionally I wouldn't submit a review with less than 2000 rounds, however in this covid era, ammunition is very expensive and difficult to find. The only cons are that this particular optic the brightness is just barely acceptable in full daylight if you are facing into the direction of the sun. Also, this optic uses 2 2032 Batteries whereas the more expensive optics use only 1. The use of the additional battery is a minor issue, considering a top end red/green dot sight can range anywhere from $200 to more than $400. I also have only used the batteries that were supplied to me with the sight. I will be testing lithium batteries soon to see if there is any change in the brightness and I will update my review. At the end of the day, I would recommend this sight for someone in need of such an optic but is on a budget. This optic can and is effective and considering the price tag of only $50, I would purchase another to mount on my truck shotgun. (I will be doing further testing for long term ruggedness and abilities to hold zero.) [UPDATE] ::: I have added a few pictures, the views threw the optic are at night on the lowest settings or red and green. Almost too bright depending on the amount of ambient lighting, but acceptable. This is at a 100 ud range. As you can see, through the camera lens, there is almost zero noticeable variation between the image through the glass vs not. I have had the opportunity to fire an additional 250 rounds and still no deviation from zero. This rifle is stored under my back seat when I leave the house, not in a rifle case, so it does get abused on occasion. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.     • Very nice, bought two for the price of the sig.
Great price and quality, I took off a star because they sent a used one, battery was open, and tool was loose without bag. I bought two so I know how it should have looked. I was going to return it but I wasn’t going to use the factory batteries and after comparing them, I decided I’d let it slide. Might not get the same price, later so I’m keeping the open one too. Like others said read the manual and you will see that the power is made to cut off when not in use. ... show more

    • Holds Zero, easy to use, easy to install
This is the second RDS-36 I've purchased, put one on my first M&P 15, and got a second for another 5.56 I'm building for a buddy. You can co-witness with it and having the option of red or green dot comes in handy with night time/day time shooting. It's bright enough for most day time shooting, but shines in dark or twilight. It's very sturdy and holds zero, then again I've only tested with 1000 rounds of .223/5.56, can't tell you what a harder recoiling round would do. I highly recommend for the price point and quality, it doesn't feel cheap in anyway, just remember to turn it off. Simple to adjust windage and elevation. Quality product at a low price, try it if your curious, you won't be disappointed, especially if you're a first time red dot user before you spend way more on something else, they aren't for everybody. ... show more

    • Do not be fooled by the price !
This is my second Feyachi red dot scope. I bought it because I was so pleased with the first one. I almost did not buy it because the price was so low. It is low price but NOT cheap in any way. It is well made and functions perfectly. Both the red and green dots are crisp and clear and easy to adjust for brightness. It held zero perfectly for over 200 rounds in a S&W PC 9.     • So Far, So Good
I have had experiences with cheap, imported junk, so I am skeptical about all the tempting new optics from overseas factories. But I took a chance on this one and I'm glad I did. First of all, let me say it's not a big "chance" since the price is very competitive. But I have tried several sub-$60 optics that were junk and wound up going with a Bushnell red dot that has been excellent. This Feyachi red dot seems to be a true quality product. The quality of the packaging is a notch above imported optics years ago. When I took it out of the box, I was impressed by the finish and the firm feel of all buttons and adjustment knobs. It mounted perfectly, thanks to the included riser. I adjusted it to be close to the POA of my back up sights, so sight-in would at least be in the ballpark. It worked. After a few clicks of windage and elevation, I was putting my shots in the bullseye, no problem. I can't speak to longevity, since I just got it, but I can say it held zero after 80 rounds of 5.56. That's better than some cheapo red dots that I've tried over the years. If this thing holds its zero over time, it will be one of my favorite optics. I will add, that although I love my Bushnell TRS-25, this Feyachi has a sharper "dot" at the lower settings. And I like that it has many brightness settings for both red and green. I'm so impressed with this, I just might try that Feyachi reflex sight that looks like a Holosun "knockoff." ... show more
