I was very happy with my yellow and black label biscuit joiner. There's simply no comparison with this Festool Domino. I had a hard time deciding whether to go with the 700XL or this 500. I'm very happy with the smaller option. It works as you'd expect from a Festool product. The systainer is a great place to store accessories. Many more Festool tools on the way for me. ... show more

    • Makes life simpler for creating joinery
Everyone knows this is an expensive product. It does one thing, basically. But it does it quicker and with more accuracy than anything else I've tried. I thought about using my Pantorouter for this current project, but the setup time with that is longer, and not as repeatable as with the Domino joiner. No regrets here. My only concern so far is that the "wide" setting created enough chatter that the dominos did not fit tightly, so I had to remake those mortises using the tight setting. From what I've been able to tell, maybe I plunged slightly too quickly, creating a climb cut that led to chatter. Not sure yet. ... show more

Like a biscuit jointer on crack without any of the slop for tight strong joints for your cabinet or furniture projects.

    • Great Product but very expensive.
The only thing I dislike is the price. The week I decided to pull the trigger to buy, they jacked up the price another 100 dollars. Festool is like Woodpecker, they make a good product but are greedy.

    • Absolutely Amazing!
Festool gets a bad rap for being over priced. Personally, expensive anything is not for everybody. This was my first Festool, but 5 figures later, I'm a Festool System Believer. Ask yourself, how important is your health. Festool dust extractors/extraction are second to none. If your budget allows, you're serious about woodworking and you want to take joinery to the next level, there might be something as good, but I doubt there's anything better! ... show more
