  • YOU WILL GET - 5 packs, each pack will have 20 sanding twigs inside. This will be a total of 100 pieces for the multipack. They are great to use on all kinds of materials including wood, plastic, metal, ceramic and more. If you are into modeling, miniature, woodworking and similar hobbies or crafts you will love these detailer sander files. Each twig is about 5-1/2 inches long to 7 inches long. The thickness will also vary from 1/16 of an inch to 1/4 of an inch.
  • STRONG ADHESIVE - Each twig has a polystyrene core layered with foam and sandpaper. The adhesive will maintain its bond and not peel away when used correctly. However the material used to construct these finishing products are not indestructible and will eventually break down. With that said you will be please with how long these tools last. Just look at all the great reviews. These are less of a polishing tool and more of a file when comparing.

  • THE GRITS IN THIS KIT - Fine, medium, and coarse grits will be found on these pencil sized detailing sanders. But to be more specific here are the grits you can expect to see. 80, 100, 120, 180, 220, 240, 320. If you see red the grit is 80, Yellow is 240, Light blue is 240 and dark blue is 120. If you see black, gray for white it can be anything between 80 and 240. Touching the surface of the sand paper with the tips of your finger might help identifying sharp or dullness.

The seller should advertise the fact that these are Made in the USA! I automatically look at items that have that, and will pay more for it. Great price on these, and you receive plenty! I got some sanding sticks at about the same time i received these, and the sticks started out great, but then I realized that they are merely coated with the abrasive, and when you are trying to remove material, it's just removing the abrasive grit from the plastic sanding stick. Those are NOT made in the USA. These are absolutely fantastic in overall size, and they are nice and flexible but firm enough that they aren't yielding. I've mostly used the coarser grit so far, but these seem to be as good as the Revlon emery boards that you can buy. I'd buy these again, but I won't need any for quite some time. Will automatically return here and buy them if this price is constant. They aren't cheap, but they're worth the cost. ... show more

I've used similar sticks before, and they are great for Miniature wood ship models and model railroad kits. I just received these and they look great except I can't readily tell which grit is which by color??? I also noticed that some sticks have two colors, one on each side! Are they the same grit? I like the variety of the sandpaper grits, but there really isn't any easy way to tell what grit they are. The colors are consistent and I separated my five bags into something a bit more organized. Didn't get an even remotely even distribution of grits between the five bags (20+ of several types and 1-2 of others). I went to the manufacturer's website and discovered that the same product is almost shamefully cheaper there. I print a lot of 3D models and many require finishing (sanding) and painting. I have a large collection of sanding blocks and tools, micro sanders, sanding sponges etc, but I continually find myself trying to get into small areas with find detail with sanders that just don't fit. I ordered these sanding twigs with a bit of skepticism, but once I tried them I was sold! They are well made and come in an assortment of grits. They seem quite durable and the grit is good quality and appears to be quite long lasting. My only negative comment is that it might be nice if they came sorted by grit instead of all mixed in the bag, but that's being picky, right? Now that I've tried these little beauties, I wouldn't think of finishing without them! ... show more

I'm seriously impressed with these. The 'core' isn't one solid piece. It's a sandwich of stiff plastic and softish foam. The result is a very rigid stick for it's size. The downside is that you can't bend it into a curve without it breaking and the sandpaper delaminating. The sanding surface is far more durable than the standard sand paper you get at the big box home improvement stores. These things can chew through a lot of material. My only compliant (which doesn't deduct a star because it says it on the listing) is that these are assorted and there's no way of knowing exactly what grit - or even relative grit - you get in a pack. As a result, you can only really count on these for rough sanding. I would very much like 5x 20 pack of a specific grits. But at this price? Cant' go wrong. ... show more

I just received these a couple days ago and couldn't wait to try them out. I build model cars and trucks, and do a lot of customizing and detail work. These are proving to be just what the doctor ordered for doing detail sanding and shaping when I'm using fillers in tight areas. My current project has a very narrow area along the beltline that I need to work, and these are proving to be perfect. I like the fact that you can use them wet or dry, and for my needs, the range of grits is pretty good although a few in the finer grits would be helpful. I can't speak to the durability of them yet, but when you get five packs, I think they're a good value even if they don't prove to last a long time. ... show more
