I've been playing guitar for 20 years now and have owned more than a dozen electric guitars. This Fesley one plays better than most or all of them, and it's the cheapest one I've ever bought. The neck is smooth and matte/satin finished without gloss (thank goodness). It's a nice and comfortable C shape that isn't thin like Ibanezes but not thick like Les Pauls. The frets are on the smaller size. I was a little disappointed at first until I found out I could play really well on these. I'm used to medium to jumbo frets but I am enjoying these small frets. Fret ends could use a little treatment but they are in no means bad. I'm leaving them alone. Frets are smooth enough out of the box. The action is set up high for my taste but I took care of that with truss rod and saddle adjustments. The playability beats most guitars I've played. My $1,500 Ibanez was slightly faster but it had a wider fretboard and bigger frets which is not as fun strumming or playing blues. The body is beautiful. I love the pink color with a matte finish. The shape is comfortable on my lap and the headstock looks cool. Hardware seems decent. Tuners are solid for a cheap guitar and better than those on my budget Jackson. Pickups are probably not the best but I don't care about those. This is not a beginner guitar. It is suitable for anybody. I'd take this over a Fender (MIM, American, Affinity, etc.), PRS (the worst), or most guitars at Guitar Center. It is a good overall guitar that lets me do almost everything. In my experience, I have owned some nice Ibanez, Epiphone, and Fender guitars. I would genuinely compare this guitar to a $300-400 Ibanez Gio or something like that. The frets are smooth on the edges, all hardware is beautiful, and I couldn't find a single nick in the paint job. So, great job on Quality Assurance! The color I chose does look a bit different from the photo. The photo I took is pretty darn close to what is advertised, so no issue there. But, to the naked eye, the 'baby blue' is more of a Mint or Seafoam Green color. Consider that if you like the Baby Blue. I ended up loving the color, which is normally not like me. You will need to set this guitar up, the action was quite high on mine, but the intonation was literally perfect! For good purposes the springs inside the guitar are tight. So you'll need to loosen the screws if you want to utilize the wiggle stick. Go ahead and grab your favorite strings to put on it immediately, cause the strings that come on it are very low quality. I'm pretty sure they're like 8 gauge. The tuners are probably my favorite. After swapping strings, and playing for a while, I was hair out of tune. That's with using the mess out of the wiggle stick (whammy bar). The frets board is a little sticky, but that can be fixed with care, or a super fine sanding. I have literally never seen this in all the guitars I have bought brand new, but this thing comes with sand paper to fine tune the frets to your liking. Like, what?? I am beyond impressed actually!     • A budget guitar with good bones.

I was initially attracted by its 16” fret radius, visual simplicity and unusual matte finish. The customer revues were generally favorable, and I watched several impressive demos on YouTube. So, considering Amazons reasonable return policy, ordering one was a low risk decision. The company emailed me before guitar arrived to provide contact info should there be a question or problem. It’s on-time delivery included the best packaging I have seen for a guitar. The included padded gig bag was much nicer than I expected; many guitars don’t even come with one. It even came with a user manual. Not even my pricey Fender Strat came with one, or a bag of any kind. An inspection tag documents the string heights at 1’st and 12’th frets. With a quick tuning, I was able to play it right out of the box. The neck felt smooth and comfortable with no noticeable bow, high frets or the string buzz that would otherwise result. Considering the budget price, I was prepared to file, level and polish the frets. Several fret-ends could use a light smoothing but nothing major. No adjustments to the truss rod or saddles were needed. I suspect I was lucky, or maybe recently made guitars had improved, since some earlier reviewers reported rough or sharp frets. But, that is usually easily corrected with the proper files and a bit of skill. Most consumers would simply have a guitar tech / luthier remedy such issues. For $150, it’s the best value for an electric guitar I have seen but more importantly, it’s low price makes upgrades affordable. Some notable features not typical in this price range include: a 16” fret radius, 22 frets, a coil-tapped humbucker, a body that is thicker than a Squier Bullet and many other budget guitars, and low gear ratio tuners that make it much easier to achieve accurate pitch. The only significant upgrade I intend to make is the pickups. The stock pickups are just OK but I prefer “Wilde noise-free” pickups designed by the late Bill Lawrence. I would not even consider this upgrade unless the bare bones of a guitar (neck, frets, and body) were of sufficient quality. I am happy to say that at least this particular guitar is certainly worthy of that investment. As for other upgrades, I will wait and see how the tuners, bridge, saddles and electronics perform after a few months of use, but for now they seem OK. If you are on the fence about buying, ask any guitar tech what it would cost if you had to upgrade those components and then compare that with a brand name equivalent. If you are new to electric guitars, you should know that Stratocaster-type guitars are exceptionally easy to repair, mod, and upgrade, and there are replacement parts available for every budget.
