  • Great product and a happy cat!
Style: 1 story Pattern Name: 1 story-grey
This was exactly what I was looking for. It is built well and the design was though lt out well. There is 1 think I would change. Which by is adding a way to run the power cord for a heated blanket in by adding a slot cut in the edge of the plexiglass windows. That way there isn't a big hole in the side when you do. I ended up cutting a corner out of the the window myself and just attached the plexiglass back. All of the windows were spider cracked at the screw holes from factory install but still work fine and help keep wind out. Overall very happy with the purchase and would easily recommend this for anyone with an outdoor cat! ... show more

  • Looks great, good value
Style: 2 story Pattern Name: 2 story-grey
The media could not be loaded. Video of our big boy purring happily inside! 😹 We put this together as a family, not a very difficult build. We decided to copy another reviewer and stapled in insulation too. I also added a weatherstrip to one of the access doors, because it had a pretty big gap. We're considering other options for the cat flaps maybe even installing a microchip door (need extra protection from mean neighbor cat), but for now the plastic flaps seem fine. They are heavy and thicker than they look. The roof materials look awesome. It's nice and spacious. You can see our cat has plenty of space and actually looks normal sized in the picture! Don't be fooled though, he's our 19lb big boy with a large frame and overweight. He might struggle to maneuver going downstairs, but our other two will have no problems (14lb & 8lb). I'd think any cat would fit comfortably inside (maybe a maine coon as the exception). The only reason for 4 stars is the stain/paint seems to be a bit thin, but hopefully it's enough to make it last. There was also a crack in one of the boards in one side from assembley, but it didn't look like it would cause a problem so we rolled with it. We're leaving it in the living room so all three cats can get comfortable with it before we put it outside. I'm looking forward to worring less about them at night when they refuse to come indoors (rescued ferals). A few notes on install: We put silicone over the 4 screws in the roof just in case. Second, there's a small block of wood that appears to be installed wrong. It looks as if its meant to give the second floor more support. We tried to move it but it's glued down. Then after it was all put together we saw why the small block was above, not below. It catches the floor from flipping up when the cat is on the outside entrance. So that location is by design. That said, we may still add a second block below to give it support from all four sides. I definitely don't think that's needed though. ... show more

  • I love it

It's a pretty nice cat house that there's a couple little manufacturing issues the little window they have has the plexiglass in it whoever installed it didn't pre-drill the plexiglass and it's all cracked ready to fall out so now I'm going to have to invest in another piece of plexiglass and put into it and the back doors were not 100% properly put on I may have to modify them and then there was a piece that holds the roof in place that was ripped off and it wasn't in the box so it was ripped off before it was even put into the packaging before it was even shipped other than that I give it a 9 out of 10 ... show more

  • Decent cat house
Most of the windows had cracks around where they were screwed in. For the price I was disappointed by this, especially because it wasn’t just one spot. I should have requested a refund or replacement parts but it was during a very cold spell so I wanted to get the house together for my outdoor cats. It was very easy to assemble and otherwise a cute, durable little cat house. ... show more

  • Great House for Outside Cats
Style: 2 story Pattern Name: 2 story-grey
This house has two levels and plenty of room for 4-6 cats depending on the size of the cats. I have three feral cats who have adopted me. As it gets colder, I was searching for something that would work for all three. THINGS I LOVE: 1. The house has two doors, so the cats aren't trapped inside. There is a "window" in the top level to allow extra light and viewing. There is a small hole in the window to help with ventilation. I also really like the awning over the two doors to help keep rain out. 2. The house is spacious. There is a hole in the second-floor floorboard that allows the cats to go up and down inside of the house. 3. The upstairs opening has a ledge that allows the cat to jump on up and then enter. In my case, the ledge was the perfect height for my back porch making it even easier to get in. 4. The two doors in the back allow for easy access to the rugs/beds for cleaning. 5. So easy to put together! The side panels were already put together so all I had to do was attach the four sides, add the roof, and place the floors. The picture instructions were clear, accurate, and easy to follow. WHAT I IMPROVED: 1. There is not much insulation - just the 1/4-inch pieces of wood for the walls. So, I added aluminum foil insulation. It was easy to cut and then use the staple gun to attach. I added two layers to the bottom floor and one layer to everything else except the floorboard for the second floor. 2. I also cut up an old rug to lay on each floor and added a "self-heating" cat bed pad. The first night when it was almost dark, I made a trail of treats to the cat house to encourage my kitties in that direction. I also put treats inside the cat house on each floor. I moved one of my outdoor cameras so I could record what happened over night. One of the cats immediately figured out the plastic flaps and went inside. The other two (both black) took most of the night to figure it out. The first kitty's eyes were shining from inside the house while the other two were wandering around. At least one of the black cats made it in the top floor. I'm not sure if both did as I can't tell the black cats apart on the video. I am VERY happy with this purchase and expect my kitties to stay warmer this winter than last. ... show more
