    • Very Nice Machine
This is a great machine. You can buy it with confidence. Here are a few of the things that I like about it: 1) It is good quality. This sewing machine is well made and should be familiar to anyone who has used a sewing machine in the past. 2) The manual is decent, and there's an accompanying DVD video. I was impressed with the video, it makes it pretty clear how to operate the machine. It is in English and the quality of the video is nice. Of course, you're going to need a DVD player of some sort to watch it. I used my computer because I didn't feel like hooking up my old DVD player to my TV. I was also able to find a video version of the DVD on the internet...just search for FEIYUE 350 video and you're likely to find it. Anyway, after watching the video, I had a very good idea of the ins and outs of this machine. 3) It comes with a few useful accessories including a button hole foot, a few bobbins, some of them already wound with thread, extra needles, and a seam ripper. 4) It's got a few cool features, my favorite is the fact that you can get it to thread the needle itself. This is super helpful as I hate doing it manually. It also does a variety of stitches. 5) Out of the box, you can tell that it has been pre-tested in the factory before shipping as their is stitched fabric under the needle. 6) The price is competitive for a solid machine like this. If you're looking for a new sewing machine, you should definitely consider this one. It is setup in a very familiar way, and it does a great job of sewing. This is an easy five stars.     • Powerful and portable sewing machine
I was unsure about the 'heavy duty' part of this sewing machine was until I got it: it has a very powerful motor that allows the needle to go through jeans and other thick fabrics like a hot knife on butter. I have not found a piece of fabric that this machine cannot put some threads on it. The construction is very sturdy which leads into the machine being a bit heavy as far as portability goes but it has the same power as a full fixed-on-a-desk sewing machine. I am thinking that it might be able go through leather as well but have not had tried just yet. ... show more

    • Basic and simple to use.
It has some bells and whistles. They aren’t complicated to use. The wheels and adjustments are, generally, in the same places as other machines, so if you have sewing knowledge, you should be able to transfer all that to this machine. It does have different things, like the speed controls for the foot pedal, which is sort of nice if you are sewing without pinning pieces together. It has plenty of stretch stitches. The only negative I’ve discovered is the bobbin cover. It’s plastic. I’d much rather have a sliding cover made of metal. I got thru my first project pretty fast. I used it on a desk. It’s heavy enough, it didn’t wobble or move around. ... show more
