I just finished running this machine through its paces and it performed well. The stitches are well formed. The instruction book, thumb drive and CD that came with it talk you through inserting the bobbin, threading the top thread and using the automatic needle threader. It shows how to change the needle. There is a dial for the pattern selector and another dial for the stitch length. The is a roller dial for the thread tension. The backup button is large, and you can reach it without even looking at it, so you don't have to take your eyes away from your sewing. It also talks you through caring for your machine. Got this because I do a lot of hand sewing and wanted to try doing larger projects without taking ages to do them. Since breaking this bad boy open i was able to make a collar for my dog with a tutorial video. I have experimented with the different designs it can make with stitches and they're neat and hold well.
