You can use the car's cigarette lighter socket to power the devices, or the car's battery. If you will be using it in your garage at home, I recommend using an AC to DC wall outlet plug, this was it won't drain your car battery, or you don't have to turn your car on. As someone with experience installing spares on the road after a punctured wheel using the tools provided with the spare, I know it is a grueling and painful experience it is. Not only does it take a lot of energy and time to lift the car with the manual jack, but the biggest problem is when nuts are tightened by the mechanic at the car shop using the tool. You are trying to untie them using merely a tire iron. In many cases, you have the spare, and you have the tools, but can't exert enough force to remove the bolts. Furthermore, it's easy to break the studs, making your situation even worse. Turning the simple spare change into a guaranteed tow as the car is no longer safe to drive will also require extra money for the stud removal and replacement. Yes, you might have road assistance with your car insurance plan, but it sometimes takes hours for them to arrive, or you may not have it with your car insurance provided; in this case, it can cost you more than this toolkit to simply change the tire to spare. With the FEANISIFEI Electric Car Jack Hydraulic Kit, it's just a breeze to insert the jack under the car, connect it to the cigarette lighter port, and press the button to lift a car. In 30 seconds, your vehicle is lifted and ready to remove the bolts. You disconnect the power from the jack (don't worry, it will not drop the car once disconnected), connect the bolt removal tool, and in less than a minute, the bolts are unscrewed; you can proceed to attach the spare and tighten the bolts with the same tool. Then, reconnect the jack to the power line and lower the car back on the ground. The change is done. Everything takes less than 7-10 minutes. The compressor feature is a nice plus, as you can quickly inflate the deflated tire. A flat semi-flat spare not used in a decade and sitting in the truck is relatively common. The semi-flat spare is unsafe and can easily fail. There is also a set of fuses and toolkits hidden in the other compartment. It is a bit situational, but it might help. There is also a kit of adapters if you want to use the jack to inflate the bicycle tire, deflated basketball, or even a balloon which might be rarely needed, but you have this option. Remember that the calibration setting requires little weight on the wheel's outer rim to be in a specific position to prevent high-speed tire vibrations. Make sure that the position of the weight on your new wheel matches the position on the old wheel; it can save you a trip to the shop to do the calibration. The jack has no battery, so the car must be running when you use it. To use it on a vehicle that doesn't start, you will need a battery; there is a clamp kit that can be connected to the car battery directly. You can also purchase a battery-powered starter to power your jack if you purchase one; look for the model with a cigarette lighter port connector as an option to make things a bit easier than dealing with clamps. If you do use clamps, make sure that you keep the polarity right from red to red, black to black. The toolkit case is robust and can work as an emergency sign if you have a punctured wheel on the highway or a busy road. The main issue I have with this product is the poor design of the impact wrench. There is a warning that comes with it that is written in broken english and makes no sense, it says "do not turn on drill and leave on or drill will no longer function". After removing the first two bolts the drill stopped work entirely. Even if the impact wrench had removed the bolts successfully I would be very hesitant to use it as it felt very cheap and was almost all plastic - I would be concerned with something breaking apart and shattering the outside plastic, causing injury - it felt that unsafe to use. The hydraulic jack itself worked OK, but it felt extremely flimsy and also seemed to be very dangerous and unstable - I would not feel comfortable trusting this jack in any way. For the price point, these items felt way too cheap and honestly I wouldn't want to use them at any price point. ... show more
