This RC truck is one tough truck. The body cover is heavy, rigid and very strong. It's the first time I've had an RC truck with this type of body cover. The remote has all the great features like proportional steering, steering trim, power level and headlight control. This truck is not only tough but it's fast as well, had enough power to need a wheelie bar, yes it will flip over from the torque. The suspension takes jumps nicely, the truck will bottom out on higher jumps though. Turning and corning are good, tight turns on loose ground will cause the truck to spin out. Comes with 2 lipo batteries, charger, and extra body clips. For the price point, it's a good deal. The only real negative thing is putting the body cover back on is a little bit of a pain. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We've had a few RC cars and non quite as fun as this one "or as fast" for the price. The vehicle itself has some pretty substantial weight to it "which surprised us" and with the all metal frame it should hold up very well. This one has 4wd and independent suspension and can really go over everything, "a little too easy too, as it will try to climb a wall". It even has fully functioning headlights are are just enough in the dark so you can keep an eye on where it's at, "plus you can have them blink/flash" by pressing the light button on the side of the remote. The remote control feels way too light, but after installing the AA batteries it's not so bad, and it does do it's job. The control for steering seems way too touchy and I do wish there were a way to trim that but don't expect all the bells/whistles for this price range. Range seems fine for us and we didn't take it more than a couple hundred feet away which should be plenty. I came with two batteries that are easy to swap out due to the ease of removing the body "4 cotter pin type hooks", "and they have little handles on them", and the design of the quick release latch over the battery makes swapping out the battery a breeze. Once charged up and ready we were able to get around 15min of really hard runtime out of them, but they haven't been broken in yet so a few more full discharge/charge cycles should improve that. Now after 15min of running the battery is pretty warm so I did let that cool a few minutes before charging just for safety sake. Did i mention this thing is fast, and I mean fast, which makes it a blast to drive, and there's a throttle trim knob on the remote so you can dial down the power till you get used to controlling it "easier for the kids to learn too". We didn't install the "wheelie" bars "yet" and I could see them of being some use as when you have the remote's throttle trim turned all the way up, giving it a full throttle start "on a full battery" can easily flip the buggy over. The metal frame should hold up really well over time, and since all the parts are easily replaceable "and upgradeable, like true dampened shocks" you could do what you like using this as a base starting point. The included charger is a USB charger and I wished that came with a wall power adapter, but those are easily available and cheap, at least with this USB charger you can charge with a USB port in your vehicle "just slow". It also came with spare drive shafts which is nice as with as much power as this has I can see wearing those out fairly easily and some extra clips for attaching the body. In all if you are looking for an very well built RC buggy that's really fast, and a complete blast to drive you'll want to grab this one, in this price range it's really hard to beat. And, if you like modding this one will be pretty easy to add onto as it's a great base to start with too. ... show more

I got for the hubby who wanted a car that could "crush" the kiddos when they raced - mission achieved! This thing is massive and everything a giant kiddo could ask for in a remote control car! It is fast and fun, large and in charge! The battery life leaves a lot to be desired, but it's understandable, because it's huge! I myself prefer something a little smaller, and that can do some nifty tricks, but this was exactly the behemoth my man was looking for, and a happy spouse means a happy house! We are RC hobbyists in our home and we have a lot of trucks that we have built and bought, and I'm pretty impressed with this truck when comparing it to souped up hobby grade trucks. I like that the parts are replaceable, which is something you don't find when buying one from a big box or department store. It responds quickly to the controller and has a decent battery life, too. I like that the max speed is adjustable so that crashes aren't so damaging in the hands of younger drivers. The body seems pretty sturdy.
