This device IS SUITABLE for ELECTRIC VEHICLES. My Ioniq 5’s computer stopped charging the 12V battery. As a result, the car became completely dead five minutes after turning it off. I was able to start the car successfully six times in a row before recharging this little booster. This was after a year of storage in the frunk. “Start,” of course, means: boot the computer, which then switches on the 800V traction battery, which supplies 12V so that you can drive. My neighbor and I are car people. Multiple vehicles for the number of drivers. So we both have vehicles that sit without being driven. I bought this to replace a much bulkier jump box after it failed to start a vehicle AND after soldering in a new battery in it. This little gizmo works very well. It’ll jump start numerous times on a charge. After months of not charging it, it finally failed to jump one after it dropped below 50% power. Charged it back up and it’s good to go again! I recently ordered this item from Amazon because it looked really neat and had a lot of positive reviews online. I was trying to choose between this and Hulkman. Well, I got my first one and it would not take a charge. I sent it back and got a replacement... that too would not hold a charge. Let's say I get a 3rd one and it works... given that I got two of them that did not hold a charge, should I really trust the longevity of a third Apex 2000? Unfortunately, I'll have to look elsewhere for my needs. I am bummed about that, because I have a Fanttik air compressor that I really love, but I would rather spend more on a different brand than get a third dud. So, after writing this review, I was quickly contacted by Fanttik. They offered me a replacement unit and a percentage off for my troubles. After a bit of back and forth, they quickly sent me out a working unit that works just fine.. I guess the morel to the story is, contact customer service if you have a problem. ... show more

Great jump starter, great customer service. Mine did not come with a wall brick as stated in the ad. I emailed Fanttik and got a reply the next day. They requested my order number and address and promptly sent me a charger. A few days later it arrived, A++ for customer service. Of the three I own I will list the pros and cons of each. I will not mention flashlight as they all have one and are about the same, also all 3 have a 74 wh battery, and they are all very capable jump starters. Fantiik T8 Apex pros 1. Voltage meter on display. (not sure why no one else is doing this, super handy) 2. Nice 3" display with battery percentage, power in/out, and "START" when its ready to boost. 3. Fast charge in and out using any pd charger that is capable of 65 watts or more. 4. Sleek design, not too big, cables disconnect for easier use as a battery bank. (personal preference) 5. Least expensive of the three. Fanttik T8 Apex cons 1. Company isn't as well known and this is their only jump starter, but great start. 2. 30 second time out in override mode. (won't be able to drive a vehicle who's battery died due to dead alternator) Hulkman Alpha 85 pros 1. Nice 3" display with battery percentage, power in/out, and "ready" when its ready to boost. error codes and when it's "fast" charging. 2. Sleek design, not too big, cables disconnect for easier use as a battery bank. (personal preference) 3. If you get the 85s it self heats the battery to operate at lower temps. (but more expensive, and I shouldn't need this where i live) Hulkman Alpha 85 cons 1. Uses a proprietary fast charge. It only fast charges with their charger. Using a pd charger will only get you 18 watts in and out power is also limited only 18 watts. (this is a deal breaker for me) If you go up a notch to the alpha 100 it uses the standard pd from what i have read, I don't have one, its more than I need and is quite large. 2. 30 second time out in override mode. (won't be able to drive a vehicle who's battery died due to dead alternator) 3. No voltage meter Noco GBX75 pros 1. Does not time out in override mode. The 60 second timeout is disabled in override mode so you could use it to drive a vehicle with a bad charging system a short distance. (im sure noco recommends not doing this) 2. Reputable brand that has been making jump starters a long time, and offer a multitude of sizes to suit your specific needs. 3. Fast charge in and out using any pd charger that is capable of 65 watts or more. Noco GBX75 cons 1. No voltage meter. 2. No display, uses light bars to indicate 25%,50%,75%,100% charge, and a few other indicator lights. 3. Largest of the three and cables do not disconnect. (would be the most cumbersome of the 3 if you intend to use it as battery bank) 4. Most expensive by far. In conclusion, I would recommend the Fanttik for most people. With the lowest cost and some nice features. If you live in a cold climate and need the preheat feature get the Hulkman 85s. If being able to drive a short distance with bad alternator is a deal breaker, got to get the Noco. ... show more

Unfortunately, I was a few that had a very bad experience with this product. Off the gates, it came defected, does not hold a charge and once the device is on the entire LCD screen blinks continuously (even the flash light doesn't work). I am happy that many have enjoyed using this product, however, its sad for me that I can not reap the same benefits from this product. I will be staying far from this product and the entire FANTTIK company on a whole. For anyone reading this post, purchase with caution. UPDATE: After communicating with the Fanttik Direct Customer Service, who reached out to me after my post above; I must admit that they were extremely helpful and shipped a new unit to me at NO COST. So far, my replacement has worked great and have meet all my expectations. I am happy that the team was able to reach out and corrected their mistakes in a prompt manner while maintaining their professionalism throughout the entire process. I can surely recommend their products to anyone as I have also just purchased their air pump and it is just awesome and handy around my home. ... show more
