I opened the cartons with trepidation fearing there might be some broken pieces. Whew! Both sets arrived in perfect condition. These are a deep forest green, not teal as the picture suggests. Beautifully shaped, not too thick. I love the matte finish which gives them a higher quality appearance over the thick shiny ceramics. The dishes are very nice. They were packaged well and none were damaged. My only minor dislike is that they are a little darker gray than the stated light gray in the description. I like that they are microwave & dishwasher safe. They are a nice change from the white dishes that I have had for over 14 years. These are fabulous dishes but be aware that the color varies noticeably even within in the same set! I find this annoying so I had to give them a 'fair' rating. If the color were consistent, they'd be a 4 or a 5. I haven't used them yet so I cannot comment on durability.
