First of all, this cat tower is best for smaller cats and kittens (<10 lbs or 4 kgs). Would never have worked for my Maine Coons or Siberian cats. It was the easiest cat tower I’ve ever assembled & I have probably assembled 5 or 6. The hardest part was screwing in the “columns” for the condo hut and that wasn’t that bad. I will take the advice by the manufacturer to check the joins once a month. I sprinkled a little catnip on each level and in a day or two Sapphire was sitting on it and climbed into the hut. Now she loves hiding/sleeping in hut. She plays with the toys when she’s in the mood. I like the fact the toys are connected by string and not springs (I had a cat get her tail caught in a spring and it was awful. Luckily her tail wasn’t broken). It comes with extra hardware and an extra toy. She has not tried the hammock or top bed. Quality is good but will see how the top bed works when she uses it. It looks great, not cheap, and is very soft. I would recommend this cat tree for your smaller cat. I also needed one with a smaller base and this one worked (18” x 18”). ... show more

There is nothing about this structure that is unusual, in otherwords, par for the course. The one major fault i find, and the reason for my headline comment is that they wind the posts with a very small diameter rope, which larger cats claws cut through in a very short time, so as a result, this unit would be best as a kitten activity center. otherwise the carpet is nice, applied over MDF board, the assembly is straightforward, and the design arrangement is cat-centric. I have 4 cats and 3 other cat trees in the house. This is our 4th cat tree and, so far, both the cats and I like it. I like the design and how the levels are arranged. I’d say it will work better for small and medium sized cats. Three of our cats weigh 9-10 lbs (in the picture for reference) and it’s a good size for them, but the hammock and the stands are a little too small for our 13 pounder. He does fit just fine in the little tent though. Assembling was simple and instructions were clear. My 10 year old son who likes to build things assembled it under my supervision. It took us 20 minutes or so. Quality wise, it meets my expectations for this price range. It’s very sturdy, the hardware is solid and the faux fur is nice and soft. It also comes with a strap and hardware to be anchored to the wall if needed, but I find it to be stable enough for its height and don’t think it would flip over easily. One thing I don’t love is the rope on the scratch posts. Personally, I prefer the cotton ropes as opposed to sisal - it looks better and it’s more durable. I also think it is more attractive to the cats when the entire post is wrapped in rope as opposed to just a few inches in the middle, but we do have other posts around the house so it’s not a big deal. If this will be your only cat tree, I would also recommend buying some additional scratching posts. Some reviews mention the smell when you open the box. Mine just smelled like pine wood or MDF, so I don’t have any concerns about chemicals or anything like that. My last cat tree was finally on its last leg so I started looking for a replacement. Came across this one and thought that it would fit perfectly in the same spot I had the last one, and I was right! Pros: -all the pieces were clearly labeled. -came with all the necessary hardware and tools (just an Allen wrench). -the instructions were clear and easy to read and understand. -took me about 15-20 minutes to put together alone. -seems sturdy enough,not wobbly at all, but it does come with a wall strap and screw+anchor to secure it to the wall if you want extra assurance. Cons: -smelled weird coming out of the box but smell is already dissipating. Will update review and star rating if the smell does not go away. -not really a con, but I would call the color more of a dark steel blue grey. When light hits the material it is turns from the darker grey to the lighter blue grey. Not a bad color, and why I didn't remove a star, but something to note. -the material is very thin and very loosely attached to the structural piece inside it. I could see my cats scratching it and pulling a whole piece off. Will update my review and rating if that happens. For now, I am very pleased with this cat tree. Easy to assemble and looks nice and sturdy once done! If you are looking for a new cat tree, I recommend trying this one! Smelled a little weird when first opening the box. Assembly is straightforward and made simple by following the included diagram/instructions. Modular components give you a little bit of freedom in deciding how to assemble your tower. Baseboards are sturdy and carpeting material is quite plush. Cutouts are well thought out, allowing cats to easily access all of the platforms. My elderly cat, Buffy, has never had a cat tree so she is still getting used to it, but it is a welcome addition to my home as I slowly transition Buffy away from sleeping on the back of the couch to sleeping on her tower. ... show more

This is a sturdy cat tree with so many parts for the cats to explore and play! My two cats that are 8lbs and 11lbs (who don't always get along) can both find spots far enough way on the tree to lounge, with multiple scratching posts to scratch on.
