    • A great utility mount for your camera or video camera
I have to admit at first when I saw this mount I was wishing it was level and not offset. Once I grabbed my video camera I was happy the mount was offset as it does give more flexibility. The left side (the higher side) is what goes over my video camera housing and is where I mount the shotgun mic. The height gives me the flexibility of moving the mic so it targets the sound. Depending on the length of the microphone this cant be done, I have an Audio Technica atr 6550 and without this product I cant get the microphone in the "sweet spot". I also have an Azden SM10 that I use occasionally. In short the added height does help. I have a Panasonic HC-X920 I use weekly for YouTube videos and a Panasonic TM 900 at the office I use for training videos. In both instances this mount is helpful for the shotgun Microphone and any other gadget I want to hook to my camera. The cool thing is there is a stop on the back side of the shoe to help the item from sliding out. The base took little effort to mount and it is not in the picture. its about 1.25 inches tall and can be twisted to get proper direction. The construction is made of some steel that will hold up to just about any weight a camera and tripod could support. What you get in the box is the 1 year warranty and a cleaning towel. This is exactly what I wanted it to be and it is a great buy at under $4. It is sturdily built, I haven't had any problems with mine - but even if it were to break at some point in the future, it's only another $4. It works perfectly for mounting my Rode shotgun VideoMic with a dead cat on one side, and my Neewer 160 light on the other side. I mounted my Zoom H1 recorder in the middle with mount adapter to attach to the shoe. I'm very happy with the setup. It is easy to assemble and disassemble quickly, and everything feels safe and secure when filming on my Glidecam hd-2000. It's also small and easy to pack in my bag or just carry in my pocket even. I used this to mount a couple extra lights and a microphone for a night shoot at a car show. Works well and turns heads, which is always great for the camera. Really no complaints. If I could suggest any one thing, it would be just to make the center mount's space a little wider, maybe by an inch, so that a larger recording device can be mounted in the middle. Putting the heaviest, largest object in the dead center of the mount promotes balance amount the equipment and makes holding everything easier when the weight is evenly distributed. Eynpire Camera Triple Mount Hot Shoe V Mount. I was looking at camera accessories that would accommodate a light, microphone and monitor or perhaps two lights on top of my rig. I wanted the device to be small enough to break down and set up easily as well as being compact. Well, I found it with the Eynpire Triple Hot Shoe Mount. Whatever you decide your rig arrangement will ultimately be composed up? Fixability is going to be a must! And, the ability to change out your configuration is only going to save you time, money, and of course frustration. So, do yourself a favor and don't run with the herd who only wants you to go broke so they would look stupid all by themselves. There motivation is to have you waste your time and money like they did listening to fools who have money to burn. However, you don't have to "sell the farm" to enjoy photography /Videography if you'll spend a little to learn a lot! Because, no matter how much money you spend it's not going to cause you to be any smarter! Having said all of that, you won't be disappointed with this Triple Hot Shoe Mount because of its durable material build and its small "footprint." Oh, and by the way at this price point? Get real!!     • For the price, this is a terrific deal
I can also confirm that this is a great deal. The metal hotshoe mount that fits into the camera hotshoe is solid and it locks down well. The height difference between the left and right sides doesn't do anything for my application, but I can see a situation when you need to place a larger item on the higher side so it can fit into the bracket. The only problem with mine is that the paint was put on thick, so the devices have a hard time sliding in and out of the little hotshoes because there is a layer of paint that is causing a lot of friction. I think that after some time, the paint will wear away and this won't be an issue anymore. I didn't take a star off for this, because this could happen with even the best products. I'm very happy with this. You won't find a better tool for the price. ... show more

    • Works but will be ordering something different soon...
This unit is small. For some reason I was expecting something a little bigger. Apparently looking at the specs/measurements and what I had in my head are a little different. That's not the reason for knocking off 2 stars. This unit's main hot shoe (attach to camera) is not well designed. It is not nearly a large enough dial to tighten down and also it simply does not tighten down well at all. Still has a small gap between the mount and the camera's hot shoe leaving me a little nervous if it will loosen further and then letting my mic and light fall down. It's not a horrible unit but it is also not fantastic. Worth the price but if I find something better then this will be returned or kept in the dark recesses of my excess camera equipment box. ... show more

    • Add more room without adding more money
I opened up the box after receiving it to find the mount unharmed, and packaged securely. Inisde the box other than the mount was the warranty card and a cleaning cloth. I mounted the Triple Mount Hot Shoe onto my Canon 7D MK II and it fit perfectly, and the screw locked down tighty onto my camera with no wobble. I put a small LED light onto both the higher and lower outer branches of the mount to check balance. they both supported the light nicely and with the little piece of metal at the front stopped the light from sliding off the mount. This is a great little mount and for the price I would reccommend it to anyone needing a little extra room on their camera. ... show more
