Tear stains are all gone

  • Magic eraser for tear stains!!
Size: 30-45 Days Supply
I recently got two Persian kittens, black Male, white female and the breeder gave me a sample kit of what she uses. I also had some store bought tear stain remover from when I got my Himalayan but none of those holds a chance to this product. My white female had her eyes so crusted, so dark that I was embarrassed to show her to friends and family and to take pictures of her. Ice had himalayans in the past but never had eye issues like my persians. Read a lot of reviews, watched a lot of YouTube videos and everyone who used the eye envy product talked highly of it. I went from having to clean their eyes 2-3x A DAY with effort invested, to now once a day sometimes every other day. This products removes the crust and yellowing quickly and gently. I am a true believer and have jumped on the Eye Envy band wagon. It comes with a lot more product then I expected. Products I've used and have not been successful- 21st century tear stain remover from petsmart-worked for my Himalayan who had light tears during teething but cannot break thru the soil my Persian gathered over time. Plus it has a potent, displeasing perfume smell. The cats hated it! Anna CB's designer pet line- face shampoo, face wash, grooming powder. This I got from the breeder but can also be bought online. Didnt have a perfume smell which was nice. I believed this would be my holy grail considering she breeds persians and Himalayans but it did not impress at all! Warm water and cotton ball- I found this to be the best until I received eye envy. Had no smell, with warm water it removed crust quickly but did little to remove the yellowing from the fur. Eye envy- crust flakes off after a couple swipes of solution on the pad. It cleans off the coloring (you can see it on the cotton pad). The powder can be applied while the area is still damp which is nice. Eyes stay clean way longer! I use once a day to once every 2 days! Such a relief once I got this product and saw for my eyes that it works! ... show more

  • This kit worked on my cats runny eye when I had tried everything else
Size: 30-45 Days Supply
My white cat who never had any sort of eye stain issues started getting awful runny eyes after we moved 2 years ago to a place with hard wood floors... more dust I guess? After many trips to the vet, we had tried EVERYTHING. Viral treatment, Bacterial ointment, lysine (in chews, powder, and a paste!), cleaning my house top to bottom, probiotic powder, etc. his one eye was still just always runny and stained so I was having to wash his face at least 2x a day to keep it looking semi-normal. Tears were crusting on and it was so hard to even remove them at a point because the area would need a warm compress to soften everything. Even after that cleaning the area was discolored and the skin was really red from the cleaning or maybe non stop moisture on the area. 4 weeks ago I decided to try this kit PLUS add tear stain chews to his diet and the transformation has been AMAZING. First I was cleaning and treating im 2x a day, maybe 3! After a week I was cleaning his face 2x a day, now I am down to just once a day and the red patch of skin is starting to get smaller!! I found being very gentle with the cleaning and allowing the liquid to sit there has helped. I bought a small makeup brush...an eyebrow brush, nice and firm for applying the powder since you really want to get it against the skin down there. I wish you got more liquid for your money in this kit, it feels like a small amount vs the powder which will last me prob quite some time, but I guess buying more by itself will not be a huge deal since it works. So yeah, I tried literally everything to try and fix my cats eye, and this (what I thought was just cosmetic) kit plus tear chews have fixed his issue maybe 90% in a few weeks. Stick with it! ... show more

  • Unsure if this is safe for my cat's eyes
Size: 30-45 Days Supply
After using this product for a couple weeks, it occurred to me to check to see what the ingredients were. I'm just applying it topically, but surely some trace amounts of the wet solution and powder makes its way into my persian's eyes and nose during application and I know that products for animals aren't regulated stringently in the way that human products are, so I wanted to do some digging. They list active ingredients - Liquid: Boric Acid, Witch Hazel, and Colloidal Silver Powder: Boric Acid, Goldenseal, Echinacea, and Eyebright Eyebright, echinacea, and goldenseal are herbs. Witch hazel is an astringent made from a plant, commonly marketed for human use. Colloidal Silver is verging on pseudo-science because a lot of people take it orally as supplement which it's totally useless for - but it can be used topically especially for eye conditions and is prescribed to newborns to prevent conjunctivitis commonly. What I don't like here is the boric acid - boric acid is used in many insecticides, especially in roach poison. Medline Plus, the US Department of Health's website, says: "Boric acid is a caustic chemical. If it contacts tissues, it can cause injury. Chronic poisoning occurs in those who are repeatedly exposed to boric acid. For example, in the past, boric acid was used to disinfect and treat wounds. People who received such treatment over and over again got sick, and some died." I don't like that at all. However, I also found that boric acid is a common ingredient in most eyedrops for humans because it has antibacterial and antifungal properties. It seems that as long as the quantity is low/diluted sufficiently, it can be used topically for eyes. Be that as it may, this product is for animals - I think my cat is likely inhaling some quantity of this product and ingesting it (cleaning her face after I treat her). For that reason I'll finish the product that I have now and won't be re-ordering. I would love a version of this that does not include boric acid. ... show more
