Features

  • Unmatched flexibility: Exway Wave is not only smaller in size and weight, but also meets the performance needed for daily use. You can put it under your seat, throw it in your suitcase, the possibilities are endless. Also a shorter distance between front and rear trucks with kick tail design leads to an unparalleled agility; Standard equipped tail puck can better protect the deck without having to worry about wearing down the deck.
  • Quick-Swap Battery Modules: Designed to be safe and compact so riders can throw it in their backpack anytime. At just under 2 kg/ 4lbs, the 180Wh module gives riders up to 20km/12miles of range on a single charge, and doubles as a power bank to charge mobile devices. (Max 10W)
  • Hassle-Free Lighting with ESC 2.0: To maximize the space available for the battery module, we've built the ESC into the base of the drivetrain. And we didn't stop there.Front and rear lights powered by the battery module have also been integrated into the base of the trucks, controlled by one touch button on the remote. No more bending down to turn your lights on, no more forgetting to charge your lights, just grab your Wave and go ride!
  • Pro Deck Design: Here at Exway, we love a comfortable yet controllable deck, so we created our own cruiser-style deck for the Wave, with variable concave, foot pockets and wheel flares. Oh and we didn't forget the most important part, a kicktail!Constructed with layered fiberglass and maple, then finished with a UV cured coat, we made sure the Wave would stand up to the "drop and go" ride style of the most seasoned skaters.
  • Smart and Safe Power: With individual cell monitoring for all 24 cells within the battery module, UL certified software and hardware protection systems, and rated for IP55 water resistance; charge, store, and ride the Wave worry-free as we've put in the work to make it as safe as we can. And we provide you with a 6-month warranty from the day you receive the board.

  • INCREDIBLE. But so many butts.
Color: Wave-Hub
TL/DR bottom line: I absolutely love this skateboard. Tons of power, great control, and portable enough to carry around on my skateboard backpack. AND WORKS GREAT AS A SKATEBOARD EVEN ONCE THE BATTERIES DIE. That checks all of my boxes for the best most portable EV skateboard on the planet. (I even choose it over my OneWheel half the time for cruising around downtown.) I've been waiting to review this until I put some serious mileage on it. Now that I have, I guess it's time. First things first: I've been skateboarding on and off my whole life. I've never been that good, but I have decent balance... and this thing was terrifying at first. That's normal- don't give up! Some key pointers that I still use every ride, mostly based around safety: 1) Safety is KEY to having fun- even the adrenaline-based kind. So please wear a helmet. And read on. 2) Keep more weight on the back foot - if you hit a crack or a rock with these relatively small tires and you are too weight-forward, you will go flying off. And on that note, watch out for cracks and rocks and sticks and things. This is in no way an all-terrain skateboard. Watch where you are going, but always keep an eye on the pavement too. 3) I know I'll get disagreement about this, but never ever go 20+mph. Flying off an object (board, bike, motorcycle) at 20 is enough to kill, depending on where and how and what you hit. I have 4th gear shut off in my app, so I'm never even tempted to use it. Even 3rd gear on flat road gets up too fast, in my opinion. The tires are just too small and can't handle obstacles, like bikes or scooters or even OneWheels can. A few things I don't like: 1) The app has no option to track your route, which is sad. I would love that ability. 2) Turning the remote on sometimes fails to turn the board on, and you have to hit the board's power button manually. Not a huge deal, but annoying. 3) The app sometimes loses my setting to lock out gears (as I talked about above), and I have to re-enable it. Not sure if that's my app's problem, or what. Might be a fluke. 4) I have constant fear of remote control battery loss. I'm always checking it. There is obviously no way around that with a remote-controlled board, so I don't know why I'm complaining. I just wish there was a solution, like it charged wirelessly from the board while you were riding. Ridiculous, I know. On the bright side, it lasts a long time, and warns you of its percentage when you turn it on. Lastly, being able to carry an extra battery that hot-swaps out in seconds is incredible (and not super common), but they are so expensive I haven't bought one yet. This thing already goes so far on a single charge I haven't needed it anyway. ... show more

  • Best mini board option on the market
Color: Wave-Riot
This is my 4th eskate and probably favorite so far. It’s voted the best mini board in the eskate Facebook groups, which drew my attention. I wanted a mini board that was belt driven for more wheel options. If you haven’t owned an eskate, this wheels are a massive pain to find and belt motors give you way more options. Battery swapping is a massive plus and a rarity on mini boards. Haven’t tested the range yet but regardless I’ll be buying a second battery. Drivetrain interchangeability is a really unique feature. Not interested in hubs right now but love that I can change them out if I want. App customization is another factor that sets it apart; if you don’t like the feel of acceleration/breaking you can modify it in the exway app. The kick tail feels great, really snappy. Concave deck is more comfortable than others I’ve tried. And the grip tape is slightly cushioned, which I can appreciate for longer rides. I’ll update this review after some test riding. Built in tail light works perfectly, and can also be customized in the app (colors, animation, etc). Only minus is that it did not come with headlight; but it’s kind of unclear whether it’s an optional add on or supposed to come with the board, so I’ll give exway the benefit of the doubt because of overall quality. I sent them an email and hoping they’ll ship me one! Wink wink @exway ... show more

  • No expansion lights like it states and grip tape is horrible
Color: Wave-Riot
UPDATE: After multiple Months, Exway support got back to me after I had already purchased the Expansion Lights and took care of what should have been included with this board for the Price and as it is described. Customer support when available is 100 percent positive. Will and already have purchased other boards from Exway! Keep up the great support guys, this is all we ask as consumers! After all this research I decided on this company and the main key features including the expansion lights which states it comes with it doesn’t and now no way to ride at night without buying extra accessories and I mean common it’s a $800 board including taxes! Then the grip tape is real bad as when you stand on it, you can tell it was not properly applied has bubbles everywhere and just not what I expected for this price point. Guess I have to do more research ... show more

  • Amazing board.
Color: Wave-Hub
This is one amazing board right here. Replaceable battery (which is one of the first things to die on most of my boards) so that you can go farther. Great cloudwheel options are available, I'd recommend the 105mm for this size board, although I'll admit I haven't tried the 120s. With the cloudwheels, you can basically go off-road if you want. You can swap to the riot drivetrain pretty easily if you want. The board is grippy, the shock absorbing grip tape has been durable so far, and the overall quality of the rest of the build is great. Just know, this is a heavy board, and not as comfortable to carry as others. ... show more
