    • Definitely NOT the starter electric longboard you should buy!
This review is for the Blitzart Hurracane 38” single hub motor electric longboard with black wheels. My body specifications are as follows; 6’4” / 200lbs. Now onto the Pros and Cons of this longboard. Pros: - Price! This board is very affordable at the sub three hundred price I originally paid for it. Cons: - Single Hub Motor! Board has absolutely no torque being a single motor board. Acceleration is poor. - Range! The farthest I could get this board to carry me on a full charge never exceeded 4 miles. 3.5 miles was my average. Mostly flat and smooth concrete surface as well. Combined riding into wind and wind at my back. - Battery Performance! The voltage sag is real on this board. Once the battery on the board drops below half-charge? Kiss your acceleration and top speed goodbye as the both take a major hit! - Deck Flexibility! The deck is solid, stiff, and has no shock absorbing effect whatsoever. - Remote Control Connection Issues! Be prepared to have the remote cut out on you frequently, even at inoportune times, potentially causing you to wreck or be thrown from board. - Brakes! Single hub motor... brakes are practically non-existant and offer no regenerative recharge when applied. Final Thoughts: Far too many issues with this board. Even more than what I listed above in the “Cons” section to be honest. After only a week of ownership and a few dozen miles ridden in total, I gave up on the board and sent it back to Amazon for a full refund. I absolutely do NOT recommend this board. Best starter electric board for the price? Meepo v1.5 electric longboard. That’s the one I ordered to replace this one. Blitzart, if you read this review? Please take this board off the market and rework your design. Copy Kieran and just build your boards similar to Meepo! Best of luck to you. ... show more

This board deserves credit were it is doe. It is quite cheap for a E-board. Simple, Its breaks are pretty good, and the tape has held up well over for the months I have had it. battery life is a bit short but has never let me down. Acceleration on flat land is good, going up hill will require a push. It is on the heavy side but it is an E-board. It looks nice and gets compliments. My biggest complaint is the controller, the thumb stick which simple enough is up for speed, back for breaks. In short when you take your thumb of the stick it goes back to middle so you have neither brake nor acceleration, but after only my second day of use, the stick gets stuck and does not return to neutral upon release sometimes resulting in me to have longer breaking or accelerating periods. Overall the board is simple but good for the price. It is a good choice for starters and a first time E-board. If you are afraid of purchasing an expensive board but don't know if you will get much use, this is a great choice to test the waters ... show more

I HIGHLY recommend this for new/casual users. PROS: Speed!, power up hills, battery life, the feel of snowboarding but down your own street CONS: ride can be rough if the street isn't smooth. Remote ergonomics could make it easier to use. Its.Just.Fun. A few things to consider: its not the cheapest board, but its speed and battery (and maybe durability but I've only had it a few days now) make the extra $$ very much worth it. I'm so glad I didn't go for a board 2/3 the cost but have lower battery/speed. The remote has a variable thumb slider. Slide a little, get a little power, slide a lot get more power, but the overall slide distance is small so it takes some practice to dial in the right amount. Same for breaking. BTW breaking is a GREAT thing not just for stop signs but its good to help control speed down hills while improving skill. There are also 2 gears. After about 3 sessions I don't use first gear, way too slow but it could be good if you have a friend who is walking ?, or you're in a dense urban area and need to keep things chill. I've not had any pairing problems. The one thing I'd really like to see better is a smoother ride on rougher streets. Its not impossible to ride on rougher streets, but smooth streets are like butter and the rough streets just aren't as fun. I think because the motor wheel has a pretty thin tire, that larger wheels may help? Just to be clear this is a great board and the minor issues are just minor and I wouldn't let them stop me from buying it again. ... show more

    • Great board for value and amazing team EDIT: (for a short duration)
EDIT: after owning this board for over a year I experienced numerous issues with build quality and parts failing. Having taken it apart, the construction is lacking at best and the components fragile. Going over even small cracks and bumps has resulted in damage to the board such that wires come lose or the motor fails. For leisure use and short distances then this board is good for the money. For consistent commute and daily use I doubt if it would last a year. It didn’t even get past 6 months for me. Purchased this board as an alternative commuting option. I use it almost everyday and have seen no issues with the board as of yet. It is extremely durable and not uncomfortably powerful (like no sudden jerking when accepting/braking). Its range is lower than advertised, but I’ve had no issue with speed. And it charges quickly. Manages well with relatively steep inclines too. I’ve ridden the board in wet conditions with no issues either. It’s worth noting that the customer service team is great. I had an issue with my remote, and even after being outside of the warranty I was sent a replacement. They reply within just a few hours of the message being sent and are very understanding. ... show more
