The quality and thickness is just fine, I cannot vouch for waterproofing and I hope I never have to put that too the test. Fit really nice and snug on my 12 inch foam mattress with no play like some of the cheaper made mattress protectors and had no issues putting my mattress sheet cover over it. I wouldn’t consider this overstuffed, but after reading other reviews I knew what to expect. I mostly wanted a pad to protect the mattress (does seem to be waterproof!) and this seems like it will do the trick. I haven’t put it in the dryer yet like others have suggested, but it seems decent. Not super plush, but enough to make the purchase worth it. If you’re looking to make a firm/old mattress more comfortable I would pair this with a foam topper to go underneath. I will update this once the mattress is in, but overall happy with purchase. (Four stars until we try it out just because it’s advertised as being “extra thick”) ... show more
