After having gone through several heated blankets over the years, I decided to give a mattress pad a try instead. I like how this heats up quickly and is very hot, I like that the controller light is bright but only remains on for maybe 20 seconds, I like that it has a timer that can last through the entire night if you choose. We'll see if it lasts longer than my heated blankets have. As others mentioned, the controller plug is located at your feet, and the cord will not reach to the top of the bed. I almost always have to get out and adjust the heat level in the night or turn it off, and having to get out of bed to do so is so annoying. I bought this back in the summer after lots of research it seemed like a good buy, others said it got hot enough to soothe muscles and was comfy to lay on. When it arrived we tested it for a few days and it worked wonderfully, but wasn’t needed till it colder. So I took it off and put it away till winter, put it back on my bed last week and it was nice and hot. But over the next days it didn’t work as well, the feet on one side quit heating and now just days later one side doesn’t work at all. I tried switching the plug ins, checking cords, all the troubleshooting stuff but nothing. It’s supposed to have a 5 year warranty but since I planned for winter and I ordered it ahead, I can’t get anybody to contact me back to request a replacement! Don’t spend ur hard earned money on two weeks of heat!! ... show more
