A very portable external USB DVD/CD drive. Plug and Play - it's that simple! Great product for the price. Works well for old CDs that have old pictures and documents or just watching DVD movies. Its size makes it easy to pack up and travel, and plug in and have it sit on top of your desktop or nearby. The disk trey, like all disk treys, feels a little flimsily but it is solid - just don't mistake it for a cup holder! Runs fairly quiet and fast. It's a little slow, copying from my computer to burn a CD or DVD. The price is right, and it works fine, but not great quality.

    • Drive works well! USB-C adapter not so much.
This works well— I use it to rip CDs on my Macbook (14” M3 Pro) and haven’t had any issues. It was plug-and-play. I don’t use it too terribly often, but I’ve had it for a few months and it’s still working properly. The little USB-C adapter that comes with it is a piece of crap, though. It bends and wiggles around really easily, and was already failing within a couple days of purchase. Luckily, I had another little adapter lying around (from an old samsung phone I think), so no biggie. Basically, the drive works well. But if you need type-C connection, you might have to drop a couple bucks on a separate USB-A to USB-C adapter. ... show more

Would give it more stars if I could. Lost my imported library when switching computers. Plugged drive into my laptop & started uploading CDs. Laborious but I can continue to work on the laptop while it is copying discs. Very, very pleased with purchase.

    • Very handy and works well - surprisingly (pleasantly so) small
Wasn't sure of the quality when we first got it because it's smaller than any DVD play I've ever had. But it sure does give a good picture and is very easy to hook up to our laptop. Quite pleased with this DVD player.

    • A Nice Drive At an Unbeatable Price
With computers no longer shipping with a built-in optical drive, even if we don't do a lot with CDs or DVDs these days, having a drive to use your older media is still important. Not paying a lot for a drive you probably won't use every day as you once did is probably just as important. This drive fits the bill. While I have not yet tried to write any media with it, it reads my media just fine. Moreover, I really like its system for storing both the USB connecting cable and the USB-C adapter. They store conveniently in the bottom of the drive, making this a very portable option that will travel well without any danger of snagging your USB cable. The cable is hard-wired in and not removable, so having this convenient way to safely store the cable is kind of a must. This drive also had no trouble connecting to my computer, nor did my computer seem to have any problems powering it. I did connect it to my MacBook Air (the one M1 one), and the only trouble I had was getting the Mac to actually mount the MP3 CD I was wanting to play. This was, however, not the drive's fault, but rather that the disc was formatted in an old format that the newer MacOS didn't recognize properly. Google to the rescue, and I got around that and was able to successfully read my MP3 CD. ... show more
