Bought a couple of these for my recently widowed mother-in-law to make watering easier, as the heavy vinyl hoses were just too much for her to handle. She loves how light they are and how much easier they are to manage. You can either just turn the water on where they are coiled up by the faucet, or you can walk them out to where you want them and then turn them on, but either way, they expand to size quickly and make watering a breeze. The included nozzles are also nice and very light - she has problems with her hands and appreciates that they're not a solid metal and that they have a switch to flip to keep the water flowing instead of having to hold the trigger - kind of like with a gas pump nozzle. I used them a few times and really like them, so going to order a couple for me as well to replace a similar brand name hose that doesn't coil up nearly as compact! ... show more

So the hose works fine, but after just one use, the outer covering (fabric?) Frayed! Yes, it went over my concrete pathway, but you should be able to do that with the hose. I guess this is a one season sorry I bought it type of purchase

    • Broke within 15 minutes of use.
it looked fine and extended properly and was working until the hose disconnected from the metal off on switch. fortunately didn't hit me or damage anything. Managed to turn the water off at the house. The jet spray was weak anyway. Waste of money.

The spray nozzle did not last one full week before it broke. I cannot locate it on my Amazon order list to try and return Very frustrating Heat here in AZ has been running up to 115 some days and I need this hose very badly I can still use hose with another spray nozzle, but wanted this to work properly. Unfortunately, this hose lasted less than 2 years of light duty use before springing leaks and then having a major rupture. The idea is great but if it doesn't last, you're wasting your money.
